Day 1 of 8 days Rwanda safari. Arrival to Rwanda
Upon your arrival to the airport on this first day of your 8 days Rwanda safari, you will be welcomed by a representative from our Rwanda travel company who will be waiting for you at arrival section of the airport, drive you to the hotel for your dinner and overnight. If you booked this package under a small or large group safari setting then you will have more than 2 representatives to orient you this night.
Day 2. Kigali to Nyungwe
Depart Kigali for Nyungwe Forest National Park on this second day of your 8 days Rwanda tour, en-route brief city tour along the main road, see more tea plantations as we proceed through Kamegeri’s rock arriving at the park late in the afternoon
Day 3. Chimpanzee Trekking
After your morning breakfast on this third day of your 8 days safari in Rwanda, we drive to the park headquarters for briefing before we go for this amazing activity in the forest to trek Chimps and other primates and birds. We will spend some time in the forest with the chimps which will take us even the whole day with our packed lunch. Return to our lodge for dinner and accommodation.
Day 4. Forest nature and canopy walk
This 8 days Rwanda safari counts incomplete if you do not do the canopy walk!! Wake up early for the breakfast drive to the park quarters have briefings before we start our day activity. This is the climax of the safari for birders as we enjoy most walking on the top of the forest seeing valleys under you, birds singing and jumping on trees and many more. Return back to our hotel for diner and overnight
Day 5. Transfer to Kibuye
Get a well prepared breakfast on this fifth day of your 8 days Rwanda safari, depart for Kibuye located on the shores of the lake relaxing from the previous activities enjoy the breeze of the lakes. You can even swim. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Transfer to Ruhengeri / Musanze
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri / Musanze with an en-route visit to the twin lakes to enjoy some small activity of spot fishing in the canoes with the local fishermen on this sixth day of your 8 days Rwanda safari. Proceed to the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 7. Mountain Gorilla Trekking
On this eighth day of your 8 days Rwanda safari, have early breakfast, park the lunch boxes and report to the briefing point which starts at 8 am by the park Authority and enjoy the time with the Gorillas on your gorilla trekking adventure, take more pictures and later come back and be transferred to our hotel for dinner and over night. Optional activities are evening community walks and cultural performances.
Day 8. Departure
After all our experience in Rwanda in this 8 days Rwanda safari package, today we drive back to Kigali International Airport, have en-route city tour if time allows depending on your flight and later on be dropped off to the airport to catch up with your onward flight.
