Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
Transfer to Kibale forest national park: On day 1 of 11 Days Uganda and Rwanda Wildlife safari, our company representative will be ready to meet you for a pick up at a communicated location either at a hotel in Kampala oor direct from Entebbe international airport and start a journey heading to Kibale forest national park which is about 5-6 hours’ drive from Kampala. Lunch will be enjoyed enroute or else opt for a late lunch at the lodge upon arrival. Spend the remaining hours of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk
Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk: Early in the morning on day 2 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will be served with an early breakfast then pack some snacks and drinking water and get ready with your best attire to be transferred to Kanyanchu at park headquarters for Kibale forest national park where you will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking, the dos and don’ts and many more and finally be led into the forest to start the search of the habituated chimpanzees. Upon finding chimpanzees after following them up for about 2-3 hours, you will spend one hour in their natural habitat and exit the forest to return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, have some rest and later in the evening embark on an evening guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary one of the best destinations for birding and botanical identification.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park: On day 3 of 11 Days Uganda and Rwanda Wildlife safari , enjoy a relaxed breakfast then check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver for a transfer from Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park with a stopover at Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves on the way to Queen Elizabeth. Enjoy an enroute lunch along the way and upon arrival at the park, head out for an evening game drive to spot some wildlife that thrill in Queen Elizabeth national park and return to your lodge later on n time for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Game drive and boat cruise: Enjoy an early breakfast on day 4 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari or have a game drive as early as possible to spot the hunters and nocturnal wildlife then return to the lodge for breakfast and proceed with your half day game drive which is conducted in Kasenyi plains that thrills with the largest population of wildlife species including mammals such as Elephants, Lions, Antelopes, Buffaloes, Uganda Kob, plenty of birds, butterflies and many more. After a half day game drive, head to the lodge for lunch and spend your afternoon on a thrilling boat cruise along the Kazinga channel one of the best destinations in Uganda to spot a largest population of Hippos. There are other wildlife seen along the kazinga channel during hot scotching sun.

Day 5: Tree climbing lions and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Tree climbing Lions and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park: After breakfast at your lodge on day 5 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari, check out of the lodge with a packed lunch box and meet your safari driver for yet a fascinating game drive in Ishasha sector where you will spend a half day on a game drive to spot tree climbing lions and other attractions with in Ishasha sector. After game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch then exit Queen Elizabeth national park for a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will arrive late in the evening, proceed to check in your lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking In Bwindi impenetrable national park: On day 6 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari, have your heavy breakfast then wear the best gorilla trekking gear and leave the lodge with packed lunch and drinking water as your meet your driver for a transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on Mountain gorilla trek. After briefing, hire a porter or even two and be led into an impenetrable forest to search for endangered mountain gorillas in the habitat of Bwindi. After finding these gorillas, you will then spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and watching the gorillas in close vicinity. After spending an hour with gorillas, you will then exit the forest and be returned to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Rwanda and connect to Volcanoes national park
Transfer to Volcanoes national park Rwanda: On day 7 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari, have your breakfast then check out of the lodge to meet your driver and exit Bwindi impenetrable national park for a drive to Rwanda vi cyanika border where you will be cleared to obtain a Rwanda visa in case you never obtained an East Africa visa. After all clearances, you will cross over into Rwanda for lunch and proceed your journey to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri with a stopover at the park headquarters in Kiningi to obtain Golden monkey trekking permit and Mount Karisimbi hiking permit then head to the lodge where you will spend your overnight.

Day 8: Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park
Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes national park: After breakfast on day 8 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari, meet your safari driver and be transferred to park headquarters to be briefed about Golden monkey trekking in the wilderness of volcanoes national park. This adventure starts in the morning with briefing then be led into the forest for about 2-3 hours searching for a habituated troop of these golden monkeys and then spend just one hour in their presence and returned to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening, you may visit the Ibyiwacu culture village for a cultural tour or opt to visit twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo.

Day 9 and 10: Hike Mount Karisimbi in Volcanoes national park
Hike Mount Karisimbi: After breakfast on day 8 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari back enough snacks and drinking water, sleeping bag check out of the lodge and be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing before embarking on yet fascinating adventure of hiking to summit the top of Mount Karisimbi and descend back. You will be briefed about mount Karisimbi hiking safari, the dos and don’ts during the hike, the possible encounters and many more. During the Hike, you will be able to have a stunning view of Volcanoes national park and other volcanoes with in Virunga massif. You will then camp at 3700M high above the see level, have dinner and overnight ready to proceed with the hike on day 9 of 11 days Uganda Rwanda safari. Well, on day 9, arise from your camp, have breakfast and proceed the ascension to summit the top of Mount Karisimbi where you will spend some time observing the stunning sceneries and later on descend back to meet your safari driver and be driven to Gisenyi to spend your evening along the shores of lake Kivu.

Day 11: Explore Lake Kivu and return to Kigali for departures

Later on, return to the lodge for lunch, check out of the lodge and be driven direct to Kigali for a brief city tour and departures.
