Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is renown as home to world’s highest population of the endangered mountain gorillas, located in southwestern region of Uganda. It is approximately 8 to 9 hours’ drive from Kampala to the park.

Kibale National Park is known as a capital for primates in entire Africa especially the Chimpanzees and other small primates as well as various birds. It is located in western region of Uganda, approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to vast of wildlife species over 96 mammals and more than 600 bird species thus making it one of the top visited safari destination on Uganda safaris. It lies in Southwestern Uganda region and it covers about 5 to 6 hours’ drive from Kampala capital to the park. This trip starts and ends in Kampala.

Uganda 8 Days Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Uganda and Transfer to Kibale National Park

On the first day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative and then brief you about the trip as you drive to western Uganda region. The journey that takes 5 hours’ drive to Kibale Forest National Park –driving through the countryside and also several towns of Mubende and Kyenjonjo and the beautiful town of Fort portal. Go through green town covered by banana and tea plantations.

The route to Kibale stuns with a lot more like driving through beautiful scenery through the town overseeing the Rwenzori Mountains ‘’Mountain of the Moon’’ the view is perfecting rewarding. You can request for a photo break at your convenience.

Arrive in time at the lodge for lunch, rest and later go for a Swamp walk for some primate and birding expedition.

The swamp walk offers a lot; visiting the locals attending to the to their crops, viewing of primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkey, red colobus monkeys among other. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

On the 2nd day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, after an early morning breakfast, your driver guide will drive you to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for briefing about Chimpanzee rules before heading out into the forest to search for them by help of the park rangers.

As you walk through the rain forest, there is high chances of seeing other primates like Red tailed monkeys, Black and white colobus monkeys, Grey checked Mangabey and birding.

Once you find the chimps you will have an hour with them, get to learn about their behaviors, habits, feeding, play and taking future photography. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat ride on Kazinga Channel

On the 3rd day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, wake up have breakfast served at the lodge, embark for morning game drive in Kasenyi plains for active game viewing and if your lucky can see lions and leopard on hunt.

Morning sunrise in wilderness is amazing, more animals are very active in this morning hours like hyenas walking back to their hides thus offering a wonderful life experience. After, return to the lodge for lunch.

 Later, after having lunch, go for the Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.  During the boat cruise, you will be able various water birds such as; Kingfishers, Fish eagles, Pelican African shoop bill, African darters. Reptiles species like Nile crocodiles and monitor lizard are often seen. In addition to plenty of elephants, buffaloes and hippos among others. Return back to the lodge.

Day 4: Tree Climbing Lions ‘Ishasha Sector’ and Transfer to Bwindi

On the 4th day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari,, after an early breakfast, you will be driven to Ishasha in southern of Queen Elizabeth National Park.  The game adventure will take 2 hours as you get to adventure more wildlife as we go through maramagambo forest, the largest rain forest in Uganda.

A game drive in Ishasha sector, presents you a great chance of watching the famous tree climbing lions, topis, hyenas, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and a true wild landscape.

After, you will drive out of the park and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with picnic lunch. Arrive late afternoon, check into the lodge. Have Dinner and overnight.

 Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

On the 5th day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, after breakfast, you will be driven to the park head offices for briefing about gorilla rules. After, go meet up your guide to allocate you to assigned gorilla group.

Upon finding these mountain gorillas, spend a good time of an hour with them, watch as they feed, play and taking memorable photography. After trekking, hike back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Jinja for White Water Rafting

On the 6th day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, enjoy breakfast before you set off to Jinja town that lies in the East of the country for our water rafting experience on the Nile.

You will drive through the rolling terraced hills of the Switzerland of Africa. Have lunch en- route and a must stop at the equator for memorable photography, refreshments, stretching and buying some souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: White water rafting on the Nile

On the 7th day of the 8 Days Uganda Safari, in the morning, have breakfast and check out of the lodge. You will take a drive to Eastern Uganda region to have a life adventure on the Nile.

You will have a full day rafting and depending on your experience, you will be briefed and instructed by the rafting experts. Then enter the rafting boat and the stunning adventure begins.

Upon accessing Kampala, you will head direct to Entebbe Airport for your flight departure or  to be dropped at the hotel in Kampala- Entebbe.
