The 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari is an exciting wildlife safari that will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park and Murchison Falls National Park which is the biggest national park in Uganda. During the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will be able to engage in game drives and boat cruises where you will be able to view different animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, impalas, topi, oribi, Jackson’s hartebeest, hyenas among others during the game drives and boat cruise.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gulu/Kitgum via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gulu/Kitgum
Depending on your location on the first day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Gulu/ Kitgum. On the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and then proceed to Gulu/ Kitgum. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo national park-evening game drive
On the second day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel to transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at the lodge and later go for an evening game drive in the park where you will be able to view animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, elands, oribi, buffaloes, zebras, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes among others. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and Karamajong cultural tour
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the park where you will be able to spot a variety of bird species including lions, leopards, cheetahs among others which will be looking for a morning hunt, view other animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, giraffes, elands, zebras, oribi among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an exciting Karamajong cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the local people, learn about their culture, history, tradition, and way of living, listen to their ancient stories, and enjoy their traditional performances among others.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park
On the fourth day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will have breakfast, carry your packed lunch and meet up with your driver guide to go for a full day game drive in the park where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed the previous day, different bird species among others. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast on the fifth day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you will have a stopover for en-route lunch and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will drive directly to the top of the falls where you will enjoy views of the most powerful waterfall, and later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On the sixth day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the park where you will be able to spot different animals like giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, view lions and leopards looking for a morning hunt, spot different bird species among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for an amazing boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will be able to view hippos and crocodiles in the water, buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes along the shores, view water birds like kingfishers, cormorants, fish eagles, bee-eaters among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Nile Delta boat cruise and evening game drive
After breakfast on the seventh day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for the interesting Nile delta boat cruise where you will be able to view hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes, elephants among others along water banks, spot different bird species including the shoebill stork, cormorants among others. After the Nile Delta boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at the lodge and later go for an evening game drive in the park where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed during the previous game drive.
Day 8: Departure to Kampala
On the last day of the 8 days Kidepo and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will have a stopover for en-route lunch and then proceed to Kampala arriving early evening upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advice.
