Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kenya
Welcome to Kenya: Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta international airport on day 1 of 8 Days Kenya Wildebeest & Rwanda Gorilla tour, you will be met and picked up by our company representative in Kenya who will take you through a briefing before embarking on a drive to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve: After breakfast on day 2 of 8 days Kenya Wildebeest & Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari, check out of the hotel and be driven to the wilderness of the most stunning savanna ark in Kenya where the film Out of Africa was shoot. Upon park arrival, you will be welcomed on a thrilling game drive to spot lots of wildlife species that thrill in this beautiful park. In case you visit during the months of June, July, August, September, October and September, you will be rewarded with an encounter and stunning views of a great migration.

Day 3 & 4: Game Viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve
Day 3 & day 4: Game viewing: these two days are set aside to fully explore the best of Masai Mara national park in this 8 days Kenya Wildebeest & Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari. You will start each of these days with an early breakfast then pack lunch box and send an entire day on a game drive to different parts of the park spotting several park dwellers including Wildebeests, Cheetahs, Zebras, Gazelles, Lions, Impalas, Elands, and several species of birds among others. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge as above on full board basis.

Day 5: Game drive & Return to Nairobi
Transfer from Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi: After breakfast on day 5 of 8 days Kenya Wildebeest & Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari, enjoy another thrilling game drive in Masai Mara which is the last adventure in Masai Mara. After game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and exit Masai Mara for a drive to Nairobi city where you will catch a flight to Kigali international airport Rwanda for overnight.

Day 6: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes national park
City tour and drive to Volcanoes national park: After breakfast on day 6 of 8 Days Kenya Wildebeest & Rwanda Gorilla tour, meet your driver for a Kigali city tour where you will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial sites, craft shops, Kimironko market and many other attractions with in Kigali city. After this City tour, have lunch and proceed with your adventurous drive to Volcanoes national park the only park in Rwanda where endangered mountain gorillas are trekked. You will arrive in the evening, proceed to check in your lodge for dinner and overnight rest ready to enjoy the next day’s adventure.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park
Rwanda gorilla trekking: Have an early breakfast at your lodge on day 7 of 8 days Kenya safari and without hesitation meet your safari driver for a drive to the ark headquarters of Volcanoes national park situated at the base of Virunga mountains where you will engage in a briefing about Gorilla trekking dos and don’ts and finally penetrate into the forest to start the search of the endangered mountain Gorillas in their natural habitats. After briefing, you may hire a porter then start the forest walk via different trails to search for the gorillas that have been habituated. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is such a rewarding experience and more of the gorillas are trekked in Uganda with in Mgahinga gorilla national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park as well as Democratic Republic of Congo in Virunga national park making them the only 4 destinations in the World where endangered mountain Gorillas can be trekked in their natural habitats. Today, the trek last about 2-7 hours but comes with only 1 hour of close viewing gorillas after which you will exit the forest back to your lodge for a relaxed meal. Later in the evening, enjoy a walk to visit the Twin Lake of Burela and Ruhondo or else take on a cultural tour to Ibyiwacu Cultural village. Remember to return to the lodge for dinner and night sleep.

Day 8: Departures
Drive from Volcanoes national park to Kigali for departures: Have a relaxed breakfast at your lodge on day 8 of 8 days Kenya safari then check out and embark on a drive back to Kigali with an enroute lunch before being dropped off at either a hotel or airport.
