Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes national park
- Kigali – Volcanoes national park: On day 1 of 5 days Rwanda Karisimbi hiking & Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari: Transfer to Kigali to Volcanoes national park with a stopover at the park headquarters to pick up the Gorilla trekking permit and Karisimbi hiking permit then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Hike Mount Karisimbi (Ascend)
- Hike Karisimbi: Enjoy breakfast very early on day 2 of 5 days Rwanda Karisimbi hiking & Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari then check out of the lodge and be driven by your safari driver to the starting point of Karisimbi hike where you will be briefed about the dos, don’t and expectations during Karisimbi hike. After the briefing, you will start the hiking safari up to 37oom where you are expected to camp for dinner and overnight as you wait to reach the top of Karisimbi the following day.
Day 3: Descend Karisimbi

After fully exploring the top of Karisimbi and the surrounding areas from above, descend back and be driven to your lodge for late lunch and then have a relaxed evening awaiting dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park

Later in the evening, you may visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village for an evening entertainment before dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Kigali for departures
