3 Days Wildlife Safari in Akagera National Park
Our 3 Day Wildlife in Akagera National Park offers a general experience of the park through the full day game drive, night game drive for getting a chance to see hyenas, jackals, owls, leopards and Aardvark. During this trip, expect to profit from making the beautiful boat trip to the biggest lake in the park which is called Ihema.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1: Pick up and Transfer to Akagera National Park
Depending on your point of departure, our safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or airport. You will then drive to the Eastern province of Rwanda where the park is positioned. Upon arrival, you will register at the reception and then proceed to check in at your booked lodge. Enjoy your lunch. After lunch, is the afternoon game drive in search of some animals like antelopes, zebras and buffaloes among others.
After a short game drive, the driver guide will drive you to Lake Ihema to engage in boat trip where you can see animals like hippos, crocodiles and visit the Nyirabiyoro Islands. Then, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive, Animal viewing and Night game drive
Have delicious breakfast, then be driven to the park on a full day game drive from the south to the north of the park where most of the animals are viewed. The park is comprised of very open flat plains like Kilala and Mohana plains.
During your animal viewing, expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes many more. Enjoy your packed lunch and then continue your safari with full enjoyment of park landscapes and animals.
Drive back, after a day game explore. Connect to your camp/lodge to relax a bit as you wait for night game. Later, head on a night game drive which offers a chance to spot nocturnal species like leopards, hyenas, Aardvarks, genet cats, jacals, owls. After the night safari, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Drive Back to Kigali
Have final a short game drive, then enjoy your late breakfast, your driver-guide will drive back to Kigali and get dropped off at your hotel or at Airport for your scheduled departure flight. End of the tour.
