Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National park for afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema

Day 2: game drive safari in Akagera national park & transfer to Kigali city
Morning game drive: After breakfast at the lodge on day 2 of 4 days of the Akagera wildlife safari & Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari tour, meet your Rwanda safari driver for a half-day game drive in the wilderness of Akagera National Park, which has a huge population of wildlife in Rwanda. You will spot early risers as they graze on fresh vegetation cover and night hunters as they return to their hiding places. Among the mammals seen while on the Akagera game drive include lions, elephants, buffaloes, and zebras, among others. Once you are done with the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and later on check out of the lodge to meet your driver for a drive back to Kigali.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri for 1st gorilla trekking adventure
1st gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park: Wake up on a cup of coffee at the lodge, pack some snacks and drinking water and then check out of the lodge in Kigali to be transferred to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri as early as possible on day 3 of 4 days Akagera wildlife safari & Rwanda double gorilla trekking safari tour. Keeping in mind that you have to catch up with the park clearances and gorilla trekking briefing, you will be expected to set off from Kigali at around 5:30am. Have a stopover at Volcanoes Park headquarters for clearances and pick up your gorilla trekking permits, then be transferred to catch up with the briefing.
Once briefing is done, you will be in position to start the fascinating yet tiresome adventure of searching for gorillas that are already used to human presence. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is a bit easy as compared to trekking in Uganda due to the nature of the terrains. Trek via different trails until you finally land on the endangered gorillas, then spend only one hour taking photographs, interacting and asking all possible questions you need to know about gorillas.
