Day 1: Arrival & transfer to Virunga National park

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga National park- DRC

On this day, you will be required to wake up pretty early take breakfast, have your packed lunch box, and some snacks then meet with your driver for the drive to park headquarters where you will be briefed about the Dos and Don’ts in presence of gorillas before setting off for gorilla trekking adventure amidst army convoy, armed rangers, and guides. Day 3: Ascend Mount Nyiragongo

Nyiragongo Hike: On day 3 out of 4 days, you will wake up pretty early fo0r a heavy breakfast, then connect with your driver for a drive to park headquarters for a briefing before proceeding to Kibati which is the starting point for Mount Nyiragongo hike. Nyiragongo hike starts at 10:00 am so endeavor to be at the starting point in time for porter hiring and also avoid being left behind for security purposes. Ascend to the top of Mount Nyiragongo to summit the top and view the lava lake that is situated at an elevation of 4,370m. Once on top, you will have a park view at glance from the top and a view of other volcanoes in close vicinity to Nyiragongo Mountain. Sleep in a tent for overnight or opt to camp around the lake to watch it glow in the night and capture those photographs. Meal plan: breakfast at the lodge, while lunch and dinner at the summit.

Day 4: Descend Mount Nyiragongo and return to Kigali for city tour and departures

Descend Nyiragongo: This is the last day of your 4 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking & Nyiragongo Hike Safari. You will rise up on the summit, take breakfast and be ready to descend at exactly 6:30 am arriving at the base within 2-3 hours.
Return to Kigali: meet with the driver to return you to Rwanda for a brief city tour with lunch in Kigali and then transfer to the Kigali International Airport for departures. Meal plan: Breakfast at the summit of mount Nyiragongo and lunch in Kigali
