Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Kigali city tour and transfer to Gisenyi

Arrival & Kigali city tour: On this day1 of 3 days tour, depending on your arrival time, our company driver will be available to pick you up from Kigali international airport and transfer you to Kigali for lunch and a city tour where you will be in a position to visit markets i.e. Kimironko Market, genocide memorial sites, and the other surrounding attractions in Kigali.
Transfer to Gisenyi: Later, embark on the journey to Gisenyi for dinner and overnight rest. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Hike Mount Nyiragongo (ascend)

Hike Mount Nyiragongo: On this day 2 of the 3 days mount Nyiragongo hike, you will wake up on breakfast, check out of the lodge/hotel in Gisenyi and meet with your driver to transfer you to Virunga park headquarters where you will be welcomed with the convoy, armed rangers and the tour guide to proceed with you Congo tour under tight security. The hike starts at 10:00 am at Kibati so ensure to be there in time for a briefing, ranger allocation and hire the porter before starting the hike. On summiting the top, you will have a clear view of the lava lake at the top and entire park at glance.

Day 3: Descend Mount Nyiragongo and departures

Descend: On the day three of 3 days mount Nyiragongo Hike, you will wake up early in the morning at the top of Mount Nyiragongo, enjoy your breakfast and get ready to descend the mountain. Descending mount Nyiragongo starts at 6:30 am so be prepared as early as possible to descend with the rest of the travelers.
Transfer to Kigali: As soon as you reach down, you will be driven back to the border where you will meet with your guide to take you to Kigali for lunch, relaxation from an exhilarating activity and then be driven to the airport to catch your flight.
