Mountain Gorilla

Well, Mountain gorillas in Uganda live in 2 beautiful forest parks including Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park all thrilling in south western part of Uganda. These 2 are so far the only places in Uganda where one can come face to face with the endangered mountain Gorillas in their natural habitats. To meet Gorillas in Uganda, one has to either do gorilla trekking or Gorilla Habituation Experience. A Gorilla trekking permit at the time of writing this article in 2021 costs $700 for Foreign Nonresidents, $600 for foreign Residents and Ugandan Shillings 250,000 for all Ugandans and East African Community member states. On the other hand, Gorilla habituation experience costs $1500 per person. Surprisingly, a cost to habituate gorillas in Uganda is equivalent to the cost of Gorilla trekking permit in Rwanda.

Chimpanzees

A permit to trek chimpanzee in Kibale forest national park is $200 for Foreign Non Residents, $150 for Foreign Residents and Ugandan shillings 150,000 for East African Community members per person. On the other hand, a chimpanzee habituation permit (CHEX) costs $250 per person.
Apart from Kibale forest national park, Chimpanzees in Uganda can as well be found in Budongo forest Reserve which is part of Murchison falls national park, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kalinzu forest in Queen Elizabeth national park, Semliki national park, Ngamba Island and many more.
Golden Monkeys
Golden monkeys are also termed as endangered wildlife species not only in Uganda but in Africa and the world at large. These Golden Monkeys thrills in only 4 national park worldwide and in Uganda, these pretty creatures can only be found in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which is as well a home to the one and only habituated Nyakagezi gorilla family. To get closer to Golden monkeys in Uganda, you have to opt for either Golden monkey tracking or Golden monkey habituation all conducted in Mgahinga gorilla national park only.
Big Cats
Big cats are as well other wildlife to look out for while on your Uganda safari. Uganda is blessed with a big number of big cats that include Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Cheetahs, Tigers that usually thrill with in the savanna parks though some are protected with in the sanctuaries. Elephants

Hippos

Antelopes
