This 2 Days Ngorongoro & Tarangire Safari sounds as short safari tour package, designed for those who want to share and enjoy their experience with a small group of people in our safari vehicle.  It looks a short safari package but with a lot more of animal viewing in these two national parks; Tarangire National Park and a visit to the wonderful crater of Ngorongoro. Visiting these two national park, expect to see all the Big five animals in both game parks besides Serengeti.

This trip starts from Arusha but the group vehicle can pick you up at Karatu or Manyara on the way.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes on board served at the hotel. Transfer to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive with a group inside the park.

Tarangire National Park ranks the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, lies in the Manyara Region. The name of the park derives from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River acts as the source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season.

Take note; The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by the long –distance migration of wildebeest and various zebras. At around noon, you will brunch and proceed for the rest part of the game drive. After, you will drive to your booked lodge –camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater and depart to Arusha

On your last day, at around 9:00am – descend the crater rim for a full day tour with a picnic lunch. The area is home to wide population of animals over 25,000 large animals including 26 black rhinoceros. It is also home to over 7,000 wildebeests, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 elands and 3,000 Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles. The crater harbors with great population of lions over 62 species. Higher up, in the rainforests of the crater rim, are leopards about 30 large elephants, mountain reedbuck and about 4,000 buffalos, spotted hyenas, jackals, rare wild dogs, cheetahs and other felines.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

The legendary annual wildebeest migration which passes through Ngorongoro.  Around millions of them move south into the area in December then move out heading north in June. The migrants passing through the plains of the reserve include; 1.7 million wildebeests, 260,000 zebras and 470,000 gazelles. Then, after drive back to Arusha and be dropped off at your hotel.
