Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire national park – Game drive
Depending on your location in Arusha, meet your safari driver as early as 6 am. The driver will brief you about the safari thereafter,
After early morning breakfast, drive to Tarangire national park for a full day game drive in search of animals like the herds of Elephants as well as other wildlife species like zebras, hartebeest, elephants, waterbucks, gazelles, oryx and others. Have en-route packed lunch and connect for an afternoon/evening game drive. Transfer to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight at Twiga Safari Lodge for budget/Karatu Tented Lodge for mid-range
Day 2: Game drive and canopy top tree walk in Lake Manyara
After breakfast, connect for a game drive and explore Lake Manyara national park, and enjoy seeing the diverse scenery of the national park. You will also look out for different wildlife species around the national park such as antelopes, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons among others as well as different bird species in Lake Manyara national park. After the game drive and your packed lunch, take on a canopy top tree walk and explore more of the park. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 3: Ngorongoro crater experience – transfer to Serengeti national park
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro conservation area with your packed lunch for a Crater game drive. You will descend 600 meters into the crater and enjoy seeing wildlife species such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeests and many others. You will also visit Lake Magadi, which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the south-western corner and is among the main features of the crater. You will see a large number of flamingos, hippos as well as other bird species along the lakeshores.
After your picnic lunch, transfer to Serengeti national park for more wildlife viewing experiences. It’s about 4 hours’ drive with en-route game viewing. You will see various wildlife species during your game drive such as wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, elands, giraffes and many others. Day 4: Full day in Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of the full day wildlife viewing activity as you explore Serengeti national park. During your morning game drive in the wilderness of the national park, you will see a variety of wildlife species like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, Zebras, Impala, African wild dogs, Serval cats, elephants and many other species then have your packed lunches in the national park as you prepare for another game drive after lunch. You will also drive around the kopjes like the Simba kopjes during your game drive in Serengeti national park and you will enjoy seeing lions as they watch their prey in the savannah plains from the top of the rocks. You will also enjoy watching the sunset as your guide drives you back to your lodge.
Day 5: Full day in Serengeti national park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of the full day wildlife viewing activity as you explore Serengeti national park. Day 6: Fly to Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast then check-out of the lodge and drive to Seromera airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Flight with Flightlink depart Seromera at 11:30 am via Arusha and arrives on Zanzibar at 14:15 hours. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be welcomed by your hotel driver/safari driver who will take you to the hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight stay at Golden Tulip Zanzibar Resort
Day 7: Zanzibar city tour – Prison Island and spice tour and Stone town
You will have breakfast at your hotel and after this, you will start your day’s activities. You will take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu Island or Prison Island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone town. On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg among others. Day 8: Safari Blue Experience and Zanzibar beach experience
You will enjoy the best boat tour on the island is which is a truly amazing experience sailing in the beautiful traditional Dhows. You will have a day to relax at the white sand beaches of Zanzibar Island and enjoy views of the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 9: Departure
