Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International airport

Arrival: Upon your airport arrival, our tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to Kampala the capital city of Uganda where you will check-in at any lodge, have lunch and embark on a journey for an evening city tour. After the city tour return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Transfer to Masindi for Rhino Trekking and then Murchison falls park

Transfer to Murchison & Ziwa Rhino Trekking: Wake up for breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to start a journey heading to Masindi with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for the White Rhino trekking and then enjoy our lunch in Masindi hotel. After lunch proceeds to Murchison falls park with a stopover at the top of the falls for a breath taking exploration filled with a clear view of the entire falls from above. Proceed to the lodge where you will check-in for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Morning Game drive, afternoon boat cruise, and Hiking to the Top of falls (Optional)

Morning Game Drive: On this day, Wake up on a cup of tea and then meet with your driver for an early game drive with possibilities of sighting big four which tops up the big five after adding the Rhinos on the bucket.
Boat Cruise: After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and then head to Murchison falls for an exciting boat cruise on the Ugandans most powerful waterfalls. After the boat cruise, you can opt for a hike to the top of falls which requires physical fitness.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park and do an evening nature walk

Transfer to Kibale: Have your breakfast at the lodge, check out and meet with your driver to start the journey to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in the afternoon.
Bigodi Wetland Tour: Check-in at any hotel for lunch and then meet with your driver to take to the park headquarters where you will be given a local guide to take you deep in Bigodi wetland for a nature walk identifying several botanical plants, mammals, primates, birds, butterflies, and insects. After the nature walk, meet with your guide to return you to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Queen

Chimpanzee trekking: On this day, wake up as early as possible for a heavy breakfast, pack your lunch box and then meet with your driver to take you for a briefing at the park office. After briefing each group is allocated armed rangers and the guide and off to the jungle you go trekking the mighty chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
Transfer to Queen: After trekking return to the lodge, check out and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive late in the evening, check-in at any lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise

Morning Breakfast: After morning breakfast, meet the driver for a morning game drive with possibilities of sighting the Nocturnal mammals before they return to their hideouts. This game drive starts as early as 6:30 am and lasts between 5-6 hours.
Boat Cruise: After the drive return to the lodge for lunch and head for an evening boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which starts at 2:00 pm offering sightings of several Hippos, and other wildlife along the shores. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions and proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Tree Climbing Lions: Wake up in the morning around 7:00 am, then enjoy your breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to head to the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions.
Transfer to Bwindi: After encountering the lions, have your lunch and then cross over to Bwindi Impenetrable national park home of mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking

Gorilla Trekking: This is the long-awaited day for Gorilla Trekking, where you have a chance to meet with the mountain Gorillas in the wild. Wake up as early as possible have a heavy breakfast and pack the lunch box. Meet your driver to take you to the office for a briefing before starting the trek. Trekking lasts between 2-8 hours and after trekking return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Community encounters

Community Tours: On this day, you may choose to have enough rest and wake up at any time for breakfast, then meet with your driver for a community encounter where you will meet the Batwa people as they elaborate to you about their lifestyle in the forest where they lived and depended on hunting and gathering for survival, enjoy their entertainment through dances and drama with lunch along the way. After the encounter, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Transfer to Lake Mburo: On this day you will wake –up early in the morning have breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet with your driver and start the journey to Lake Mburo National Park viewing green vegetation cover along the way, plantations, and people along the way. Have a stopover at Igongo for lunch and other attractions within Igongo cultural center and another stopover at the Equator for some experimental tourism and photograph. Proceed to the park arriving late in the night check-in for dinner and overnight

Day 11: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise

Morning Game Drive: Wake up early for breakfast, then meet with your driver to start the early morning game drive with the possibilities of viewing Nocturnal mammals and other wildlife in the park.

Boat Cruise: After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and then head for an evening boat cruise on one of the lakes in the park. After the cruise, return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight

Day 12: Return to Kampala and departures

Departure: This is the last day of your 12 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife tour and you will be saying bye to us. Depending on your departure time, Wake up or breakfast, check out of the lodge and start your journey to Kampala where you will arrive in lunch hours. Have your lunch and then be driven to the airport to catch up with your next flight
