Proceed to Kibale forest national park where you will meet primate species in the jungle, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for tree-climbing lions, cross over to volcanoes national park for gorilla trekking, and finally have Kigali city tour where you will visit the genocide.

Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls

  • Transfer to Murchison: on day 1 of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will be met at Entebbe International airport and transferred to Murchison falls national park with an enroute lunch. You may have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Masindi and proceed to the park via the top of falls. As you reach the lodge late in the evening, check-in for dinner and have a rest.
  • Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

  • Game drive: on the 2nd day of 10 Days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will have a morning breakfast at the lodge, and meet the driver to have a morning drive within the park. On this day, be sure to spot lots of wildlife species including the big 4 that will sum up the big 5 games in case you have a rhino trek along the way. Amongst the wildlife seen during the game drive include lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and many more. After the game drive returns to the lodge and has a meal for lunch.
  • Boat cruise: after lunch, have a rest and make sure that you are ready for an afternoon boat cruise that starts at 2:00 pm on the Nile River. During the boat cruise, you will spot lots of mammals including Hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and many more. Once you are done cruising, you may opt for a hike to summit the top of the fall which lasts within 45minutes. Then meet your driver and transfer back to the lodge with a brief drive in the park. Enjoy your dinner and have an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

  • Transfer to Kibale: on day 3 of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will wake up in the morning on a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to embark on a drive to Kibale national park. Upon arrival, check-in at the lodge have dinner and overnight.
  • Meal plan: breakfast, Enroute lunch and Dinner

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk

  • Chimpanzee trekking: Arise in the morning of day 4 out of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, have breakfast, back your snacks and be transferred to the office for a briefing about gorilla trekking. After briefing head into the jungle and search for the habituated chimpanzees. After chimpanzee trekking enjoy your packed lunch or return to the lodge for a hot meal.
  • Nature walk: After having lunch, transfer to Bigodi wetland sanctuary for an evening guided nature walk to spot a lot of primates such as monkeys, baboons, chimps, mammals, birds, botanical plants among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

  • Transfer to Queen Elizabeth: this day 5 of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, wake up on a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth national park with an enroute lunch. Once at the park, check-in for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

  • Morning game drive: you will have to wake up early for breakfast such that by 6:30 am you are in the park to have a glance at the nocturnal mammals before they return in their hiding places. You will also spot a lot of wildlife within the park including lions, buffaloes, etc. drive back to the lodge in time for lunch.
  • Afternoon boat cruise: this boat cruise starts at 2 pm at the Kazinga channel thus you need to be there in time in order to enjoy the cruise whilst witness hippos, crocodiles and all other mammals that flock the water bodies. After the cruise, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Day 7: Morning game drive and Transfer to Volcanoes national park

  • Morning game drive: On the 7th days of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will arise in the morning, have breakfast and then check out of the lodge to embark on the game drive within the Ishasha sector where you will be in a position to watch the tree-climbing lions. Have an enroute lunch in the ishasha sector.
  • Transfer to Volcanoes National park: after lunch, you will cross over and have a drive to volcanoes national park via Cyanika border. Expect to arrive late in the evening for check-in dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park

  • Gorilla trekking: wake up on a cup of coffee on the 8th day of 10 Days Uganda Rwanda safari. Head to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking within volcanoes national park. During gorilla trekking, you will spot a lot of wildlife including primates, mammals, birds and vegetation cover. Enjoy your packed lunch box and the return to the lodge.

Day 9: Golden monkey trekking and visiting twin lakes

  • Golden monkey trekking: on day 9 of the 10 Days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will enjoy breakfast and then pack some snacks and move to the forest to spend some time with the golden monkeys as they swing in the tree branches. With golden monkeys, you are free to capture as many photographs as possible with even flashlights. After trekking golden monkeys, return to the lodge for lunch.

  • Visiting twin lakes of burela and Ruhondo: after enjoying golden monkey trekking, you will have an evening nature walk to visit the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo then return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali city tour and departures

  • Transfer to Kigali for city tour and have an overnight: this is the last day of 10 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to embark on the journey to Kigali for a Kigali city tour. You will visit Kigali genocide memorial sites, markets, and then have an enroute lunch and then transfer to Kigali international airport for departures.
