Kibale National Park Itinerary: An itinerary is a plan made for any traveling journey one wishes to visit, including the routes and places that you will visit. And before one travels to Kibale National Park, one needs to first check in with a traveling itinerary that will work out for you.
Kibale National Park is one of the most attractive destinations to visit on a Uganda safari. A great location for primate lovers, mostly for the chimpanzee tracking, which can be done in the tropical rainforest of Kibale Forest.
The park covers 766 square kilometers containing rainforest, swamps, rivers and a few areas of grassland; they are permanent places for wildlife species and Kibale is a home of more than 5,000 individuals of the total of 13 primate species.
Chimpanzee tracking is limited to an age of 16 years and above and children below 16 years can engage in other educative forest walks.
However, the Kibale National Park itinerary is a 3-day Kibale chimpanzee trekking safari that brings you to quite an impressive chimp trek inside the Kibale rainforest. While trekking, you will be allowed to stay with the chimps for a maximum of one hour after being located.

Day 1: Travelling to Kibale National Park
Safari starts from Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and then transfer you to western Uganda, as the driver will be giving a short briefing about the safari itinerary as you pass through the countryside, have a great view of the landscapes and traditional homes and notable glimpse of the different striking bird species.
You will have an en route stopover for lunch in Fort Portal, a beautiful town with a lot of attractions. After lunch, proceed to drive to the park. You will arrive in the evening check in, do refreshments, have dinner and stay overnight as you get ready for the next activity.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking
Wwake up early and have your aroma tea breakfast. Afterward, your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the park headquarters. You will be allocated to a chimpanzee community to trek, led by a park ranger guide who knows the tracking trails well in search of this rare species.
It will be moments of excitement to watch chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they feed, hunt, swing on the tree branches, groom their young, and enjoy photo shooting.

After trekking, chimpanzees return back to the lodge for lunch, depending on the time you have finished.
In the afternoon, go to explore the Bigodi swamp walk a good place to view abundant beautiful butterflies, animals, plants and spotting of unique bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, among others. After the swamp walk, you will take a village walk that leads you to a coffee experience, banana bread making, among others. Sleep in the same lodge.
Day 3: Return
Wake up and have breakfast with overlooking views. After checkout from the lodge, always make sure to pack everything you carried with you on your safari.
Drive back to Kampala as you go through Uganda’s rewardable countryside, rolling hills, with a picnic lunch along the way. Then after the drive, go directly to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
