Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour
- Arrival and Kampala city tour: on day 1 of 5 days Jinja and Entebbe safari tour, depending on your arrival time, you will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport by an Achieve Global Safaris company representative and transferred to your lodge in Kampala for check-in, lunch, an evening Kampala city tour where you will visit some marketplaces and craft shops and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Mabira forest Via Sezibwa falls –Jinja to Visit the source of the Nile
- Transfer to Mabira via Sezibwa Falls: On day 2 of 5 days of the Jinja and Entebbe safari tour, you will be given breakfast at the lodge in Kampala then check out and be transferred to Mabira Forest with a stopover at Sezibwa Falls in Mukono. These falls are known for harboring the spirits for the Buganda kingdom. You will then have an en route lunch and be transferred to the Mabira Forest for a nature walk and also take part in zip-lining within this natural forest. You will spot some primate species, mammals, birds, and different species of mammals that reside in this beautiful forest. Later on, you will proceed with your journey to Jinja.
- Visit the source of the Nile: upon arrival in Jinja, you will be transferred to explore the source of the Nile. This will be done while on a boat cruise on top of the river Nile. You will be excited to finally sail to the exact spot that Speke confirmed to be the exact source of the Nile River. Later you will be driven to the lodge for a city tour before you enjoy your dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 3: Whitewater rafting and transfer to Kampala–Entebbe
- White water rafting: On day 3 of 5 days of the Jinja and Entebbe safari tour, you will be transferred to Itanda Falls after breakfast for white water rafting. After white water rafting, you will do any other activity at the side of the waterfall, including the nature walk along the shores of the river Nile, quad biking, horseback riding and many more before being transferred to your lodge in time for lunch.
- Transfer to Kampala-Entebbe: After lunch, you will take part in a Kampala city tour, exploring some of the places that you never visited on day 1, including the religious centers such as Namugongo shrine, Bahai temple, and Gadhafi mosque, and then be transferred to Entebbe for dinner and overnight as you prepare for the following days’ activities.

Day 4: Ngamba Island, and Entebbe
- Ngamba Island: On day 4 of 5 days of the Jinja and Entebbe safari tour, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Ngamba Island on Lake Victoria to visit the orphaned chimpanzees that were rescued and protected in a sanctuary. You will be driven to the shores of Lake Victoria, where you will then sail on a boat to the island to spend some time with these primates in the sanctuary.
- After visiting the chimpanzees, you will cruise back for lunch and later on have an evening visit to Entebbe Zoo (UWEC) for a nature walk where you will encounter several wildlife species, including primates, mammals, reptiles, birds, butterflies, and bats, all in this reserved and protected place. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Beach relaxation, Entebbe city tour, and departures
- Beach relaxation, Entebbe city tour, and departures: This is the last day of your 5-day Jinja and Entebbe safari tour. Therefore, you will wake up to a relaxed breakfast at the beach, take part in all activities, including swimming, a boat cruise and some other games that are done at the beach and late in the afternoon have a lunch break followed by a city tour and a transfer to the airport for departures to your next destination.
