The 8 days Murchison Falls and white water rafting safari is an exciting adventure that will take you to Jinja for white water rafting and to Murchison Falls National Park, where you can view various animals such as buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, giraffes, oribi, bushbucks, and Jackson’s hartebeest during game drives and a boat cruise. During the safari, you will also engage in chimpanzee trekking activity, where you will be able to spend time with the chimpanzees.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe international airport on the first day of the 8-day Murchison falls and white water rafting safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide, who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
Have early morning breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Murchison falls national park. On the way you will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking, whereafter you will proceed with another stopover for an en-route lunch. After lunch you will continue to Murchison falls national park and upon arrival, you will drive directly to the top of the falls, where you will enjoy stunning views of the most powerful waterfall and later connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Have an early breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will be able to spot different animals like giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and warthogs; view lions and leopards looking for a morning hunt; and spot different bird species, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will go for an amazing boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you will be able to view hippos and crocodiles in the water, view buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes along the shores, and view water birds like kingfishers, cormorants, fish eagles, and bee-eaters, among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest
After breakfast , you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Budongo forest for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest with an experienced park guide, which takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located. During trekking, you will be able to view different primate species, birds, and plant and tree species among others and once the chimpanzees are found, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their habitat, where you will be able to learn about their habits and behaviors and watch them feed, breastfeed, play, rest, take photos and record videos.
After the encounter with the chimpanzees, you will return back to the lodge for lunch, whereafter you will spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Nile delta boat cruise
On the fifth day of the 8-day Murchison falls and white water rafting safari, you will have breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for the Nile delta boat cruise, where you will be able to view hippos and crocodiles in the water, elephants, buffaloes and antelopes along the shores, and water birds, among others. After the Nile delta boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for lunch, whereafter you will go for an evening game drive in the park, where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed during the previous game drive. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Jinja
On the sixth day of Uganda tour, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Jinja with a stopover for an en-route lunch. Upon arrival in Jinja, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Whitewater rating
After breakfast on the seventh day of the 8-day Murchison falls and white water rafting safari, you will be picked up by your driver guide from the lodge to go for the adventurous white water rafting experience, which starts with a briefing from an experienced guide. White water rafting takes almost a whole day and has different grades to experience, ranging from grade 1 to grade 5. After the whitewater rafting experience, you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Source of the Nile boat cruise and departure to Entebbe
On the last day of the 8-day Murchison falls and white water rafting safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for an interesting boat cruise to the source of the Nile, where you will enjoy great views of the scenery and landscape, view aquatic bird species, and take photos, among other things. After the source of the Nile boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala with en-route lunch on the way and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advise
