Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park
Transfer to Akagera national park: Start your day 1 of 10 days Rwanda safari tour with an early morning pick up either from your hotel or direct from Kigali international airport and set off on a drive to Akagera national park one of the best and the only savanna park in Rwanda. The journey is short so you will first enjoy a city tour exploring the genocide memorial sites, market places and many more. After city tour, have your lunch and proceed to Akagera national park where you will arrive in the evening for check in, dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Akagera
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: After an early breakfast on day 2 of 10 Days Best of Rwanda Safari, meet your driver for an early morning game drive in the savanna part of Akagera national park for a thrilling early morning game drive where you will spot several species of mammals, birds, butterflies and many other wildlife that thrill in the park. Amongst the wildlife to look out for during game drive include; Elephants, Leopards, Hippos, Rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards and many more that call this park their home. Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park
Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk: Enjoy your early breakfast on day 4 of 10 days Rwanda safari tour then be transferred to the briefing grounds as early as possible to engage in a pre-chimpanzee trekking briefing as early as 5:30am. After briefing, you will penetrate into the forest and start the search for the habituated chimpanzees in their natural habitats. You will spend about 3-5 hours searching for the chimpanzees after which you will spend only one hour in their natural habitats taking photographs and viewing the chimpanzees closely then exit the forest and return to the lodge for lunch.
Canopy walk: After lunch, you will return to the forest for a thrilling afternoon canopy walk where you will be swinging on a 150M long canopy raised at 50 M high above the sea level. This canopy is one of the best in the world and it will reward you with plenty of attractions including a view of Nyungwe forest national park at a glance, a view of several primates, mammals, birds and many more that thrill in the forest. Day 5: Forest walk to the waterfall and transfer to Lake Kivu in Kibuye
Forest walk and transfer to Lake Kivu: After breakfast on day 5 of 10 days Rwanda safari tour, head to the forest once again for a thrilling forest walk to visit the waterfalls. You will pass via park headquarters to obtain your permits before proceeding to t your lodge for check in and lunch.
After lunch, you will head out for cultural tour to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village where you will be rewarded with a cultural performance by the local banyarwanda people.
