6 Days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari
The 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari is an interesting Uganda tour that starts from Entebbe Uganda and ends in Kigali Rwanda. The safari will take you to Lake Mburo national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park. During the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will be able to spot different animals like buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, topi, impalas among others during the game drive, boat cruise and walking safari. You will also engage in gorilla and golden monkey trekking activity where you will be able to spend time with the mountain gorillas and golden monkeys in their natural habitat.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
Depending on your arrival time on the first day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park-walking safari
On the second day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel to start the journey to Lake Mburo national park. On the way, you will enjoy stunning views and have a stopover at the Equator where you will buy souvenirs and take photos.
Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge and lunch where after you will go for a walking safari in the park where you will get up-close and personal with different wildlife species, butterflies, spot and listen to sweet sounds of bird species, enjoy the cool breeze among others. After the walking safari, you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight,
Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park
After an early breakfast on the third day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to go for a morning game drive in the park where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, oribi, topi, waterbucks, warthogs, among others.
After the game drive, you will drive out of the park and start the journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park with en-route lunch and stunning views of the Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands among others. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
On the fourth day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will have breakfast and carry your packed lunch to go for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest which takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking, you will be able to view other primates, different bird species, plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their environment where you will get an opportunity to learn about their habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, groom young ones, take photos and record videos to show people back home after the safari.
After the encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Golden monkey trekking experience
On the fifth day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will have breakfast and meet up with your driver guide to go for a golden monkey briefing. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest in search of the golden monkeys, which takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the golden monkeys are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
During golden monkey trekking, you will be able to view other primates, different bird species, plant and tree species among others and once the golden monkeys are found, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their environment, where you will get an opportunity to learn about their habits, watch them play, carry out daily activities, take photos and record videos. After the one hour with the golden monkeys, you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for lunch, whereafter you will spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Departure to Kigali
On the last day of the 6 days Mgahinga gorilla and wildlife safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kigali with en-route lunch on the way and then proceed to Kigali arriving early evening, Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advise
