Detailed  Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest national park

  • Transfer to Kibale Forest national park: on day1 of 7 Days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will arrive at Entebbe international airport in Uganda where Achieve Global Safaris driver will meet and pick you up. Have briefing regarding your 7 days safari in Uganda and Rwanda as you head to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, embark on the journey to Kibale forest national park a home to 13 primate species. Upon arrival late in the evening, check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

  • Chimpanzee trekking: day 2 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will wake up on a cup of coffee at the lodge the meet with your driver to transfer to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking briefing which is conducted early in the morning. After the briefing, you will trail in the forest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Once you get closer to the chimpanzees, you will be allowed only one hour in the presence of chimpanzees taking photographs and then return to the lodge for lunch.
  • Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: after enjoying your lunch, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive in the evening, check-in for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat cruise

  • Morning game drive: you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, then meet the driver to transfer to kasenyi plains for an early morning game drive. You will spot lots of wildlife including Elephants, lions, Uganda kob and several species of birds, moth, butterflies and plants. After the game drive returns to the lodge for lunch.
  • Afternoon boat cruise: upon finishing your lunch, you will be driven direct to Kazinga channel where you expect to spend more 2-3 hours cruising while watching mammals along the shores including Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes,  elephants and lots of water birds. Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park 

  • Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park: on day 4 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will wake up early in the morning take breakfast and then have an early morning game drive in the Ishasha sector where you will spot tree-climbing lions as they sleep helplessly in the tree branches. After the game drive, have your meal and then proceed to drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will arrive in the evening for dinner and have an overnight sleep.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Volcanoes national park

  • Gorilla trekking: day 5 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will arise in the morning, take breakfast, pack your lunchbox and meet your driver to transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing, the expectations and all that is needed during gorilla trekking in Uganda. After briefing, you will be allocated a particular mountain gorilla family and then head into the wild with the guide and the ranger to spend an hour trekking gorillas. After gorilla trekking, return to the lodge, enjoy your lunch.
  • Transfer to volcanoes national park: after having lunch, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda where you will arrive late in the evening for check-in dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Golden monkey trekking and Iby’Iwacu 

  • Golden monkey trekking: on day 6 of 7 days Uganda Rwanda safari, you will wake early for breakfast then transfer to the forest where you will spend ample time amidst cheerful golden monkeys. Trekking golden monkeys is such an awesome experience where you will watch these primates as they jump from one tree branch to another. After trekking the golden monkeys, meet your driver and transfer back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
