DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison falls national park
Arrival and transfer to Murchison falls national park: On day 1 of 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari, you will be picked from Entebbe international airport where you must arrive before midday in order to be transferred to Murchison falls national park on the first day of your safari. Well, upon arrival, you will be picked by our company representative and transferred direct to Murchison falls park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in masindi for White Rhino trekking. Trekking Rhinos will help you to spot the big 5 games by the end of your safari since you won’t encounter rhinos inside Murchison falls national park and Semliki national park thus don’t miss out this exciting encounter of rhinos in Ziwa rhino sanctuary . Lunch on day 1 will be enroute and dinner at the lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
Game drive and boat cruise: On day 2 of your 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari, you will arise in the morning for breakfast and then be transferred from your lodge to drive in the park amidst wildlife species which include Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, warthogs among others. After the game drive, you will be returned to the lodge where you will find your lunch ready. Have a meal and be transferred for an afternoon boat cruise on Nile River. During the boat cruise, you will spot Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and many more as the bath, and other drink water below the scotching sun. After the cruise, you will be driven again to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest
Chimpanzee trekking: after breakfast, on day 3 of 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari, you will pack a lunch box , enough drinking water and wear your trekking gears to be transferred for a briefing about the dos and don’ts during chimpanzee trekking and later on penetrate the forest alongside armed ranger and the guide to trek the chimpanzees within Budongo forest. During the trek, you will be able to spot other primates such as Baboon, and other species of monkeys, mammals, birds and plants. Chimpanzee trekking is budongo may last between 2-5 hours though we normally give it a full day including hours of relaxation. After the trek, you will return to the dinner, enjoy your dinner and have an overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to semliki national park
Transfer to Semliki National park: On day 4 of 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari, after breakfast, meet your driver after checking out for a ride to Semliki national park far in the western part of Uganda near Congo border. You will spot Mount Rwenzori ranges along the way and other attractions that will make your long journey a memorable one. Day 5: Visit sempaya hot springs and Boat cruise on Lake Albert
Visit sempaya hot springs: On day 5 of 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari, once you are done with your breakfast, you will be transferred to visit the most beautiful and natural sempaya hot spring that boils water and watch the water splashing put from a small hole estimated to be 8m in diameter. The best way to visit these hot springs is by taking a guided nature walk as the local guides will be able to explain to you everything you need to know about these waterfalls. Proceed with your nature walk to spot the river, watch different species of birds and later on return to the lodge for lunch. Day 6: Return to Kampala – departures
Return to Kampala: Check out of the lodge after breakfast on the last day of your 6 days Murchison falls and Semliki National park safari and meet your driver for a final transfer from Semliki national park back to Kampala the capital city of Uganda with an enroute lunch in Fortpotal town. Once you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped at Entebbe International airport for departures.
