Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s most incredible game viewing location, hosting over 96 mammals and 618 bird species among others. The park is located in the western region of Uganda, covering an area of about 1,978 square kilometers. It was established in 1952 and is under the governing body of the Uganda Wildlife Authority ‘’UWA’’. Animal species include; the African elephant, African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard, spotted hyena, Chimpanzee in Kyambura gorge, and lions. The other area around the Ishasha sector is famous for its unique tree climbing lions whose males often sport black manes.

The Park is also famous for its volcanic features like volcanic cones and deep craters –many with crater lakes like the Katwe crater from which salt is extracted.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

On day 1 of the 2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari, after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, our professional driver guide will pick you up to set off to the southwestern region of Uganda with a stopover at the Uganda Equator to have an experiment of temperature at zero degrees Celsius, take photos as many as you wish for your remembrance.

After proceed a drive to Mbarara town to have lunch en -route and then drive directly to Queen Elizabeth National Park while passing through the rolling hills, viewing the long-horned cattle on the way.

Evening Game Drive Arrive at the park and check into the lodge. After go for an evening game drive accompanied by an armed guide using a 4x4WD safari vehicle. On your game drive which will be conducted in Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park. You will be able to spot the unique tree climbing lions while hanging on fig tree branches and other mammals including; buffaloes, warthog, Uganda kobs, waterbucks and others.  You will also spot some beautiful bird species around. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Morning Game Drive/Depart

 Morning Game Drive; Wake up early morning, and drive to the park to search for the hidden animals that you would have missed out on seeing in the evening game drive. After, the morning game drive starts at 6:30 and exactly 7 am when you’re already there in an open savannah grassland of Kasenyi plains to search for mammals. While you are enjoying your game drive viewing in Kasenyi plains expect to see a variety of mammals such as herds of elephants crossing the road, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and many more. You will drive back to the lodge at 10 am, have a heavy breakfast and then set off to Kampala with en route lunch. Arrive in the evening.
