Uganda Safaris in February: Just like the month of January, February is as well an ideal and one of the best month to embark on your long awaited Uganda Safari. Throughout the month of February, the temperatures and climatic conditions are just perfect for you and your loved ones to get out of you comfort zone and experience what it feel like being on an adventure in the pearl of Africa. Unlike January, February is hotter and in fact one of the hottest month with average temperatures of about 25 degrees since it lies within the dry season in Uganda.
However, there is a likelihood of a little rainfall during this month though not a must but since Uganda is a tropical country so we never experience total dry season.
During the month of February, almost all safaris in Uganda are possible since all the accommodations are operating perfectly, the trails in the parks are passable and the entire vegetation cover minimal for easy sighting of different wildlife species. Most of the animals congest with in areas with water during the month of February thus easy to view them even at the comfort of some accommodations especially those that overlook the parks.

Mountain Gorilla trekking: Obviously with Mountain Gorilla trekking, this is one of the perfect months for you to slay as you walk in dry trails of Bwindi impenetrable national park and Mgahinga gorilla national park which are the only destinations for Gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda. Apart from trekking gorillas, you as well has a golden opportunity of spending more time with gorillas during Gorilla habituation experience that is only done in Rushaga sector of Bwindi impenetrable national park. The challenge with this however is that gorilla permits tend to be sold off as early as possible thus prior booking is advisable at least 6 months and above in advance to secure your trek. You as well need to ensure that you book your accommodations in time.
Chimpanzee trekking safari: this activity is also favorable and best enjoyed during this month of February and it is mostly enjoyed within Kibale forest national park though one can as well decide to view chimpanzees in other destinations like Budongo forest, Kalinzu forest, Kyambura gorge etc. a more fascinating encounter with Chimpanzees can as well be enjoyed, the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (CHEX) which allows more time with Chimpanzees in their habitats.

Volcano hiking safari: February is a perfect month for volcanoes hiking within Mgahinga gorilla national park. There are 3 volcanoes that can be hiked from Ugandan side with in Virunga massif and they include Mount Gahinga, Mount Muhavura and Mount Sabyinyo.
Apart from Volcano hiking safaris, there are other mountains that one can hike starting from a few days to several days including Mount Elgon Hike and Mount Rwenzori hike.
Game drives: During the month of February, the tracks used for game drive safaris in different savanna parks of Uganda are dry thus no possibilities of getting stuck. During this month of February, even saloon cars can be used for the game drive unlike during rainy season where only 4×4 vehicles are recommended for the game drives for fear of getting stuck in the park since the roads inside the park aren’t well maintained thus in most cases rainy season can be a nightmare to dry with in but with the dry month of February, you are on a sure deal of driving in dry tracks.
Boat cruise: The water levels during the dry month of February is minimal thus best for boat cruise safaris. It is as well the best time for boat cruise since most of the wildlife in the park usually congest near water bodies in search fresh vegetation and water thus easy to view as many animals and possible while on a boat cruise safari.
Community and cultural tours: February is as well one of the best months to enjoy community and cultural tours with an opportunity to meet and interact with the locals in their homesteads and farms.
