Things to do at Hell’s Gate National Park : Hell’s Gate national park was established in 1984 and named after a narrow break in the cliffs, a national park that inspired Hollywood films like ‘The Lion King and Lara Croft; Tomb Raider, located in Naivasha just few kilometers away from the Nairobi capital. Hiking in Hell’s Gate National Park starts from OI-Njorwa Gorge which was currently closed from the public who owe to flash floods that caused a tragedy due to loss of youth who died from the floods.

Rock Climbing at Fischer’s Tower
In year 1883, there was a prominent Germany explorer Dr. Fisher called Hell’s Gate who came up with an infancy of translating from the Masaai word ‘’Enemeneng’’. The tall rock that exists within the park was named after him. The rock is popularly rewarding with rock climbing enthusiasts in Kenya.
The Fischer’s tower is the first interesting natural rock one shouldn’t miss to encounter when gets to the Hell’s Gate national park. This rock estimates about 25-meter-tall with great view of scenic landscapes, wildlife with in the park.
Game Viewing
Hell’s Gate national park is home with variety of animals thus providing a gainful game viewing most especially during morning hours. The most interesting route is the gorge road that goes all around to Ranger’s post. This route takes you downhill on the way out and up hills you on the way back, so always make sure that your legs are physically fit the way back as you will need to push through the uphill. You can hire a bicycle at a fee costs varying between KSH. 1,000 to 1,500 but depending to whom you have hired the bike from.
Picnic sites
The park has got picnic sites around ranger’s station. When you get here, you need to be very careful with packed lunch as there are monkeys on site, since are active species they may end up snatching your meal away. If you wish for some rest to relax your mind, at the bottom of Fischer’s tower there’s a cool resting place where you can enjoy your picnic lunch.
Visit the Hot Springs

From Nairobi capital –Kenya covers around 90 kilometers to access the park by car. You can choose to take a flight from Wilson Airport to the Park.
