Park Entry Fees For Queen Elizabeth National Park levied to be paid before accessing that protected area where one goes to access that place or national park in order to enjoy the activity done there.
It is the same fee you pay as entrance to Queen Elizabeth national park and the fee paid is used to support the conservation programs stipulated by the body concerned of all protected areas in Uganda, the UWA (Uganda Wildlife Authority), the same body in charge of forming entrance permits that give you access to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which can be presented to you at every entrance gate, like Kabatoro main gate.
Therefore, before even getting the entrance permission, you’re required to present a valid identification as a sign of verifying your status, whether you’re a foreigner, foreign resident or East African citizen. Take note: the foreign residents of Uganda are required to present their passports for identification and the East African citizens have to present their valid national identification cards or passports in order to get access to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Individual Park Entry Fees
The entrance fees for Queen Elizabeth National Park for foreigners are expected to be USD40 for nonresidents, USD30 for foreign residents of Uganda and UGX20,000 for East African Community citizens. Note, the park entry fees for individuals are for 24 hours only and any extra minute from the agreed time of the permit is counted as an extra day.
N.B The park entry fees are not levied on children below 15 years; it’s only levied on those 15 years and above the age.
Annual Park Entry Fees
You can decide to pay the annual entry fee which is a classified and the annual park entrance fee to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and are only entitled to the foreign residents that work in Uganda and the East African members of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.
An individual who is a foreign resident of Uganda is expected to pay USD350 as annual park entry fees to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
An individual and a citizen of the east African community is expected to pay UGX150000
A couple who are foreign residents are entitled to pay USD500 and a couple who are resident East African citizens are expected to pay a fee of UGX200,000 as annual park entry fees to Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park.
A family of foreign residents with a maximum of four kids is expected to pay a fee of USD700 as park entry fees to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
A family of East African citizens is expected to pay park entry fees of UGX300,000 annually.
The annual park entry fees for the foreign residents are USD 1500 and 2.5 million for corporate East African members.
A safari guide is entitled to pay UGX 100,000 as annual park entrance fees; a Uganda safari guide has to be a member of the East African Community. The same fee is required of a taxi driver as an annual park entry fee to Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The park entry fee to Queen Elizabeth national park is not only acceptable to humans but also the motor engines that access the park, such as vehicles and craft as the highlight follows:
Motorcycles are entitled to USD30 for foreign residents and USD10 for the East African citizens as an access fee to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Saloon cars are entitled to USD40 for the foreign residents and USD20 for the East African citizens as park entry fees to enter Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Minibuses are entitled USD50 for foreign resident and UGX30000 for the East African citizens.
School buses are entitled UGX50,000 as park entry fees to enter the park
Air Crafts
Helicopters are entitled to pay USD100 for foreign residents and UGX250000 for East African citizens per landing, respectively.
A 4 to 21 and above aircraft is entitled to a fee in between USD30 and USD50 for the foreign residents and UGX60000 to UGX120000 for the African residents.
N.B The parking fee for aircraft per day is USD8 for foreign residents and UGX5000 for East African citizens.
Caution
The vehicle entry fees are charged per entry in the park
The landing fees are charged individually from the park entry fees of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The en route pilots are not charged the park entry fees if they stay for less than 2 hours.
