Kikalayi

This is a delicacy made especially for pork lovers. It consists of pork seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and sometimes other spices and fried until crispy and tender. It is named after the big pan used to fry it, called Kikalayi. This taste treat is served on a big round tray with either fried matooke or boiled cassava.

Malewa

This is made from bamboo shoots and is mostly made by the people in eastern parts of Uganda. It is cooked with onions, tomatoes, and spices and sometimes mixed with meat or fish. It is usually served with rice or millet bread (kalo).

Malakwang

Malakwang is a traditional dish from northern Uganda, especially among the Acholi this is a source that is usually made from the leaves of a plant with the same name, which has a tangy and sour taste and is known to be enjoyed with sweet potatoes, millet bread, posho, or cassava.

Eshabwe

Eshabwe is a traditional dish from Uganda, made from ghee, salt, water, and sometimes dry roasted beef, this is mostly served in the western ends of Uganda and it is mostly served with matooke, karo, and other foods.
