Lake Mulehe safari Lodge is situated 10 kilometers away from Kisoro town in Muchi area along Rubuguti. The lodge is a mid-range safari accommodation offering free Wi-Fi which enables visitors to stay in touch with friends and family.

Each cottage has variety of space in which to daydream and inside the space are uncompromisingly new and satisfyingly complex for what is quite a small building. All rooms are quiet, comfortable and surrounded by indigenous tree species that attracts bird’s species with good sweet songs and surrounding with beautiful nature.

Boat canoeing

Community walk

On stay at Lake Mulehe safari lodge, you can go for community walk where you will be able to meet up with Batwa people interact with them, be entertained with their unique traditional dance and songs and learn how they built their houses out of leaves, grass and trees.

Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla trekking is quite fabulous life experience which starts early morning with briefing about rules of gorilla trekking. Then you will go in search for them while accompanied by the park ranger and it is an activity that takes about 30 to 7 hours’ depending on the movements of the gorilla family you’re assigned for. Once you locate them one hour is given to you to watch gorillas as they feed, play, nest in the evening, hunt as well as enjoying photography.

Gorilla Habituation Experience

Gorilla habituation is a remarkably gorilla experience, a process done 2 to 3 years training gorillas to get used to human eye contact and if the park ranger notifies that the gorilla group is fully habituated. They officially open the gorilla family to the public. However, gorilla habituation experience starts early in the morning with the briefing about dos and don’ts of gorillas. It’s an activity that takes fully day with 4 hours given to tourists to observe them gentle giant in their nature inhabitants. After briefing you will be grouped in a gorilla of four people accompanied by researchers, park rangers to search for them. Once you find them four hours are given to you to watch them as they play, feed, groom each other and building their nest on the ground, enjoy you packed lunch boxes since it is a full day activity   as well as have memorable photography.

Accessibility; Lake Mulehe safari lodge can be accessed both road and air. From Kampala to the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes about 9 to 10 hours’ drive.

Alternatively, travel by air transport takes you only 1:15 minutes to fly from Entebbe airport to Kisoro airstrip and only 13 kilometers from the airstrip to the park.
