Ishasha Jungle Lodge lies 2 kilometers off Katokye Gate of famous Queen Elizabeth National park at the edge of River Ntungwe. This lodge offers a perfect location for your photographic safari in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and the sector is the easiest way to Bwindi National Park home to the half remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful riparian forest vegetation and acacia savannah.
The lodge is a small eco-friendly lodge entirely made with local materials, African art, with its raised en-suite wooden desk cottages, perfect rooms and bathrooms and all finished with canvas.
Ishasha Jungle Lodge consists of beautiful room types including; Double –twin cottages, Triple room cottage and Single occupancy among others.
They have a perfect restaurant that offers international standard menu and dining area. The lodge is eco lodge that used clean energy and power, solar system that gives 24-hour power and hot water to all cottages.

The lodge also has solar fridge that provides safe storage and cold drinks.
They have on site restaurant and cooking is provided with clean source like gas and alternative charcoal. Water used is safe and comes from a borehole.
Things to do at Ishasha Jungle Lodge –Queen Elizabeth National Park
The Ishasha Jungle Lodge is located in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Well, Ishasha sector is known as a famous area for spotting unique tree climbing lions and best area of the park for wildlife photography.
The game drive will offer you a great chance to enjoy the savannah and be able to explore wide range of animal species like; lion, leopard, elephants, buffalos, giant forest hogs, different species of antelopes like topi, waterbuck and Uganda Kob among others.
Kameme Traditional Group
At visit to Ishasha Jungle Lodge you can go for the kameme traditional group which is made by a number of more than 15 children from the nearby village of Kameme. The lodge contains the group because of an expression of African culture and art. They are good in performing the Kikiga and Kinyarwanda dance, drumming and singing of folk songs as they tell stories about hunting and wildlife, crop growing.
These traditional group are good in entertaining new exciting songs commemorating the lions and our lodges.
The lodge also offers a camp fire place near Ntungwe river where you can enjoy great exhibitions of entertainments.
River Ntungwe and Kameme Village Walk
From Ishasha Jungle Lodge, you go for guided walk starts from our lodge and takes you through the riparian forest along river Ntungwe as well as cultivated farms to Kameme village, where you will be able to encounter various notable bird species and also view crop plantation of rice coffee and maize.
While on the village walks, you will be able visit Kameme primary parents school, a private school managed by the Association of the parents of children and having partnership with our lodge.
You will be able to interact with publics and teachers and you can share your experience with them
Your free to proceed a walk to some typical homesteads and interact with the villagers. The experience can take about 3 hours.
Getting to Ishasha Jungle Lodge –Queen Elizabeth National Park
Ishasha Jungle Lodge is lies in Kihihi Sub-County of Kanungu district along Kameme Road, in Kameme village, just 2 kilometers off Katokye gate of Queen Elizabeth National park.
It can easily be accessed following the signposts along the Ishasha Road between Katunguru and Ishasha sector –Kihihi town of the Queen Elizabeth national park.
The lodge is situated a few kilometers away from Kihihi Airstrip. From Kampala –Entebbe Airport with landing domestic flights ‘’Aerolink Uganda or Bar Aviation that takes 1:30 hours to land.
