Apoka Rest Camp

This camp is managed by the ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority it’s a budget accommodations found in Kidepo Valley national park. It is one of campsite located inside the wild area, guests interested in wilderness camping. Apoka rest camp can work out for you.

The park itself provides a safe camping areas with a toilet, bathroom and water. To those wishing to camp here you are required to either carry your own travel camping materials inclusive of the tents, own food and beddings. If not, you can hire a tent direct from park authorities and travel only with your beddings and others necessities.

Note, its advisable requirement to stay with a ranger guide in the wilderness.

Apoka rest camp is a budget accommodation positioned near Narus valley close to where you can have gainful view of the wildlife even when sitting at the veranda of your rest camp .The camp also offers hostel that has 16 self-contained chalets with bathroom and toilet ,the beds vary on single or double .They also offer cheaper bandas ‘’ 14 in number’’ but non self-contained ,toilets and bathroom can be reached outside the bandas .The rate are pocket friendly for budget visitors depending on where you decide to stay.

More so, guests are advised to carry their own food and drinks for the couple of days you’re met to stay on safari to Kidepo simply because the camps do not provide meals and drinks. Cooking arrangements can be done by the camp staff for you at a small cost. In addition to diet requirement let say chicken or goat’s meat, this can be arranged from the community close to the park for visitors hoping to stay number of days in the park. This is another way of life changing experience of its own on African continent.

Nga Moru Wilderness Camp

Nga Moru wilderness camp is a mid- range lodge found on the park’s boundary. Nga Moru its in local word which means a place of rocks. The camp is positioned overlooking the Narus river that contains large groups of mammals and other wildlife species. It’s absolutely a thrilling place while relaxing and viewing wildlife. Animals that gives great sights just by relaxing at the lodge on the high rocky sites of Nga Moru are Zebras, Cape buffaloes, giraffes, Ostriches and Cheetahs, Waterbucks among others. After your day activity, the lodge will offer to you a fireplace where you can camp with a drink and story sharing about the activity you had with other guests or sit back on the camp chair has you share into the night sky so rewarding as well as listening to the grunting lions, yelping jackals and laughing hyenas just closer to you.

This camp offers 5 comfortable and spacious rooms/caravans all with en suite bathrooms and veranda overlooking the Narus valley. Kidepo Savannah Lodge

Kidepo savannah lodge is located 33 kilometers at the edge of Kidepo valley national park few meters away from kalokudo gate. This lodge is a mid-range motivated by the green savannah environment, rocky outcrops, the vast wildlife and the Karamojong people.

Kidepo savannah lodge was en suited on the stone’s throw of the park with great views of the endless Narus valley and the distant views of Mount Morungole where you visit and meet with the Ik people tall and small in size .This Mount Morungole ranges is close to southern Sudan and can be accessed without park entry fees .This lodge provides excellent and comfortable lodging facilities to guests visiting the park on safari .It also opt to provide luxurious self-contained and non-self-contained lazy camping tents .The self-contained tents have comfortable beds clad in beautiful Masai blankets and hot showers attached in open air bathrooms unlike the non-self-contained tents with outside showers .Some tents have balcony where you can relax in your free time with a splendid views of the park and the mountains.

The lodge has well organized staff, restaurant and bar. The restaurant and bar are well constructed in form of thatched grass that are positioned with fine views of the breathtaking endless savannah. The lodge offers 3 meals per day and dietary requirements which are handled upon prior communication to the lodge since it sits in remote areas and everything runs off solar including the fridges and working on a fixed menu.

Apoka Safari Lodge

This is a high-end accommodation facility located inside Kidepo Valley national park with overlooking the Narus River valley within the distant Kidepo wilderness, thus giving your ability to have a great view of wildlife right from your comfort and enjoy the endless views of the savannah.
