DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls national park

Transfer to Murchison falls national park: Being your first day of your 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe or at Entebbe international airport and be transferred to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will spend 1-2 hours trekking the endangered white rhinos within the sanctuary. This sanctuary is also known for harboring other species such as birds, mammals and many more as you will encounter them during the rhino trek. Rhino trekking start with a drive from the office to a certain distance which is close to the rhinos in order to minimize the time spent in search of White Rhinos. After trekking the rhinos, on day 1 of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will exit the sanctuary and be driven to the hotel in masindi for an enroute lunch. Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

Game drive in Murchison falls national park: An early breakfast is crucial on day 2 of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari. You will then be picked up from the lodge by your safari driver and transferred for a game drive in the park. Being the largest national park in Uganda, you will be in position to spot several species of wildlife including mammals such as Uganda kob, Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Antelopes, and species of bird species among others. Later on you will return for a lunch break at the lodge.

Boat cruise: At 2:00pm, you are expected to be at the starting point for an afternoon boat cruise on Nile River down to the base of the water falls where you will clearly view the waterfall as it exits a gorge making a thunderous noise and a beautiful wave that is worth a watch. At this point, hiker will leave the boat and meet the rangers for a waterfall hike which is the most fascinating and adventurous activity but very tiresome and specifically recommend for the fit. Therefore, if you aren’t fit to hike up the waterfall, you will stay on the boat and be transferred back to the shore of the river where you will meet your driver for ferry crossing and be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as you close your second day of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari. Amongst wildlife seen during boat cruise are the mammals such as Crocodiles, Hippos, water birds and those that were seen during the game drive.

Day 3: Drive to Kibale forest national park

Transfer to Kibale Forest national park: after breakfast on day 3 of 7 days Murchison, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will be transferred from your lodge in Murchison falls national park and embark on a long drive to Kibale forest national park with an enroute lunch and dinner at the park. This day 3 will specifically be spent on the road while watching lots of fauna and flora species as you head to south western part of Uganda to a home of 13 species of primates. Upon arriving at the lodge, you will check in, have dinner served and take a rest as you warm up for the following days’ safari of encounter with the chimpanzees.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and bigodi nature walk

Chimpanzee trekking in kibale forest: Kibale forest is not only known for chimpanzees but other different species of primates such as L’Hoest’s monkey, Red tailed monkey, Colobus monkey among others. The forest also has some mammals such as elephant s, forest hogs and plenty of bird species. After morning breakfast on day 4 of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will be driven to the headquarters to engage in a briefing session and then penetrate the forest and start the trek via different trekking trails as you search for chimpanzees. Remember to keep your voices lower in order to sight more but you are free to ask anything you need to know throughout the chimpanzee trekking adventure. Your camera during photo taking in presence of chimpanzees should not use flash light and finally once you encounter the chimpanzees, you will be given just one hour in their presence and later on exit the forest to be returned to the lodge for lunch.

After the walk, you will be transferred back to your lodge where you will enjoy dinner and take a goodnight sleep.

Day 5: Visit Crater, Caves and transfer to Semliki national park

On day 5 of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale and Semliki safari, you will be served with your breakfast, then head off to visit the crater lakes   which offers a stunning view of the vegetation cover along the shores. You will later on visit the caves known as Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru where the local tour guide will be in position to offer you the best explanation you need to know about the formation of these caves that drop milk like liquid that some locals think is milk. Return for lunch at the lodge then check out and embark on the journey to Semliki national park in Bundibugyo district where you will arrive in evening for check in at the lodge. Day 6: Visit sempaya hot springs and boat cruise

Visit sempaya hot springs and cruise on lake Albert: on day 6 of 7 days Murchison falls, Kibale, Semliki safari wake up on breakfast then be transferred for a nature walk to watch the most beautiful sempaya hot springs that have made Semliki national park one of the best destinations one ought to visit at least once in a life time. You will watch the water as passes through an 8m hole heating the rock and then boiling at a very high temperature that can even make an egg hard boiled in a few seconds. Proceed your walk to visit the waterfalls and many other attractions within the park. Have a lunch break at the lodge and later on be transferred to enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Albert to watch the water birds and other wildlife.
