Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On day 1 of the 5 Days Uganda Animals and Primates Safari, depending on your location in Kampala, you will be picked-up by our company representative/guide who will then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It’s a 6-7 hours’ drive with en-routes at the stopover at the equator, proceed for lunch in Mbarara town. On arrival in the park, you will proceed to the park with en-route twin lakes visits, then check in your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Bush Lodge for budget/Elephant Hub Lodge for mid-range

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge and afternoon boat cruise.

After breakfast early in the morning, you will depart for Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu forest with your tracking gears. The walk in the forest in search of the chimpanzee generally takes around 2‐5 hours. Spend an hour with the chimpanzees, return meet your driver to return for lunch at the lodge.

Later afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along Kazinga channel where you will get an opportunity to see a number of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos and crocodiles at the lake shores. Return and relax at the lodge as above

Day 3: Lion tracking/Morning Game – Ishasha game drive – transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

On day 3 of the 5 Days Uganda Animals and Primates Safari, after breakfast, embark on a lion tracking experience where you are guaranteed to watch the lions in the Kasenyi area, also do a morning game drive in the Kisenyi region to see the lions, leopards, hyenas, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and among other animals available.

Thereafter, have lunch and drive to the Ishasha sector for another game drive to increase your chances of adventuring the tree-climbing lions. After, continue a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Buhoma sector, which is about 4 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, check into your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge for Mid-range/Rushaga Valley Lodge for budget/Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge for luxury

Day 4: Gorilla habituation experience

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the ranger guides and later start to walk into the forest for your trek. Gorilla habituation in Bwindi involves visiting a semi-habituated gorilla family that has been in the process of habituation for over 2 to 3 years. This activity takes a whole day and you are granted 4 hours to stay with the gorillas. After the habituation experience, meet your guide and return back to your lodge to rest. Dinner and overnight at Lodge as above

Day 5: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe (8-9 hours drive) or Kigali – Rwanda (4-5 hours drive) – Departure

Wake up early and enjoy your breakfast. Later meet with the guide/driver for your long day drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. This journey takes 8-9 hours on the road including en-routes for lunch in Mbarara. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or be dropped off at a hotel you advise.

Or, the driver will drop you off in Kigali for your onward flight via Kigali International Airport. Marking the end of the safari.
