5 Days Lake Mburo and Queen

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo

You will be picked up from your hotel or an agreed location in Kampala and transfer to Lake Mburo national Park with a stopover at the equator where the kids will enjoy the experiment and take their photos. Proceed to Lake Mburo arriving around mid-day, check in to the lodge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on the Lake from which the park inherits its name – Lake Mburo. Enjoy the ride and return to the hotel to unwind, enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock (Mid-range) or Mihingo Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2: Game drive / Walk and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Have breakfast and go for the morning game drive or a walking safari guided by the ranger guide which allows you to get up-close with the game including antelopes, zebras and buffaloes. Exit the park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with lunch en-route in Bushenyi or Ishaka town. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi game lodge (Mid-range) or Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury)

Day 3: Game drive and Launch Cruise

Have breakfast and go for a game drive where you will encounter lots of wildlife including elephants, lions, and buffaloes among others. You will also visit the Katwe salt pans where you will find locals engaged in salt mining – an experience for the kids! Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, go for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel famed for its highest concentration of hippos in Africa. You will also get to observe more game here, birds of different species and crocodiles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 4: Explore Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth NP

Have breakfast and go for a game drive in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park with chances of spotting the rare tree climbing lions lounging in fit trees in the mid-morning. The Ishasha sector is still virgin and wild with more wildlife thus increased chances of game viewing. Explore Ishasha to the fullest and return to the lodge where you will unwind and spend the evening admiring the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 5: Back to Kampala

Have breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route at Igongo cultural Centre near Mbarara town and a visit to the museum. Proceed to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
