This is 4 Days Aberdare and Samburu National Park Safari that offers an overnight stay in Aberdare, where you will view wildlife directly from your hotel terrace. Visit the plains of Samburu, where you can spot rare animals such as the Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa Oryx. You will also experience the rich culture of the Samburu people by visiting one of their traditional villages.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi and Travel to Aberdare National Park
You will be picked up from your agreed location in Nairobi or at the Airport early in the morning. Be briefed about the safari before heading out to Aberdare National Park. Arrive at the lodge, enjoy lunch, and then head to ‘’The Ark’’, located in the forested mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at an altitude of 7,000 feet.
Game viewing around the Ark offers a fabulous game adventure, including sightings of rare animal species, such as the giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo antelope. Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park and Travel to Samburu National Park
After morning breakfast, embark on a journey to Samburu by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Samburu is one of Kenya’s most well-protected areas and home to species found only north of the equator. It is home to five special animals such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and Biesa oryx. Connect to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge, then you will start your day in the bush, scanning the river from your tent’s veranda with a steaming cup of coffee in hand. The park offers a great view of elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. Back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve /Nairobi
Enjoy a final game drive in the park, followed by a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. Later, depart by road for your return journey to Nairobi, arriving by early afternoon.
Upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel or drop you off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
