DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Jinja for Source of the Nile

Transfer to Jinja: On day 1 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or any other nearby location and embark on a drive to Jinja with a stopover at Sezibwa falls in Mukono district where you will learn more about the ancient Buganda ancestors then proceed with another stop at Mabira forest a natural forest best known for birders. In mabira forest you will enjoy Zip lining and a guided nature walk. Enjoy an enroute lunch and proceed the journey to Jinja direct to visit the source of the Nile. Later on, you will proceed the journey to check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: White water rafting and Jinja city tour

White water rafting and Jinja city tour: on day 2 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, you will be driven to Itanda water fall for a white water rafting. This is considered to be a half day activity thus lunch will be at the lodge and embark on evening Jinja city tour to explore the beautiful city and all that is in it such as markets, craft shops, railway line among others

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison falls national park: After breakfast on day 3 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, check out of the lodge, meet your driver and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park via Kampala and head to Masindi for Rhino trekking before proceeding to Murchison falls national park via top of falls. Lunch will be enroute in Masindi town while dinner at the lodge.

Day 4: Game drive, boat cruise and top of falls hike

Game drive: On day 4 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, enjoy an early breakfast then spend the morning hours on a game drive amidst several mammals in the Northern part of the park. Amongst the mammals you will spot include; Elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kob and many more within this magnificent park in the pearl of Africa.

Boat cruise and top of falls hike: After game drive, you will be returned to the lodge for lunch and embark on afternoon boat cruise. You will be cruising on top of the Nile River towards the bottom of the water falls while viewing Crocodiles, Hippos, elephants, buffaloes and many more. Once at the base of the fall, you will be in position to meet rangers and embark on the hike to summit the top of Murchison falls waterfall. This hike will take you only 45 minutes ascension. Once on top of the falls, you will be overwhelmed by the cool breath from the bottom of the waterfalls, have a clear view of the park from above among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Semliki national park

Transfer to Semliki national park: on day 5 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, exit Murchison falls national park and be driven via beautiful vegetation cover, have a view of mount Rwenzori and proceed to the park. Lunch will be enroute while dinner will be at the lodge. Once at the lodge, you may take part in a night game drive with the help of the sport light and the rangers.

Day 6: Nature walks and boat cruise

Nature walks and boat cruise: on day 6 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, you will spend the morning hours on a guided nature walk that will take you to visit the sempaya hot springs. You will also be in position to water lots of primates, mammals, and birds within this beautiful national park. Return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Albert. You will visit the fishing grounds while on a boat cruise, watch different species of birds.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking kibale forest national park

Chimpanzee trekking in kibale forest: after breakfast on day 7 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, transfer to kibale forest national park where you are on a sure deal of encountering chimpanzees in their natural habitats. Once you get to the lodge, you will be served with lunch at the lodge and embark on an afternoon chimpanzee trekking adventure. After trekking chimpanzees, you will return to the lodge for dinner and enjoy an overnight stay.

 Day 8: Nature walks and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Nature walks: kibale forest national park have a lot of attracts to visit while on a nature walk and these including visiting the crater lakes, visiting the caves and bigodi wetland. Therefore after breakfast on day 8 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, you will enjoy a nature walk before returning to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will check out and be driven to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will drive within the park in mweya peninsula for an evening game drive before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Game drive and afternoon boat cruise: on day 9 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, meet your safari driver for a transfer to Kasenyi plains the most beautiful sector in Queen Elizabeth national park congested with lots of wildlife species. You will view elephants, Uganda kob, buffaloes, etc. return for a lunch break and later on be driven to kazinga channel for an afternoon boat cruise as you watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants and many more then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 10: Game drive in Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Game drive: on day 10 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, check out the lodge with some packed lunchbox and be driven to Ishasha sector, a home to tree climbing lions for a game drive. After the game drive, you will enjoy your lunch and exit Queen Elizabeth national park to Bwindi Impenetrable national park a home to the largest population of mountain gorillas in the world. Upon arrival at the par, you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Gorilla trekking: An early breakfast on day 11 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, then be driven to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing and later on penetrate into the wild for a gorilla trekking adventure where you will be offered just one hour to interact with the mountain gorillas and take enough photographs and later be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Drive to Volcanoes national park

Drive to Volcanoes national park: after breakfast on day 12 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and be driven to volcanoes national park in Rwanda where you will enjoy an enroute lunch and have a stopover at Kiningi the volcanoes park headquarters to obtain your gorilla trekking permits and golden monkey trek king permit. Proceed to the lodge for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park

Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park: on day 13 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Kiningi again for gorilla trekking briefing and later enjoy another gorilla trekking adventure within the wilderness of  volcanoes national park. This is also considered to be a full day activity therefore, you will need to pack a lunch box and drinking water to keep you strong throughout the trek. After trekking gorillas, you will return to the office for pick up and be returned to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Golden monkey trekking and drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Golden monkey trekking: on day 14 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast you will be transferred for yet another fascinating and interesting encounter with the golden monkeys with in volcanoes national park. These are the most cheerful species of primates and you will surely enjoy the encounter with them in their natural habitat. Later return to the lodge for lunch and be transferred back into Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Canoeing and transfer to lake Mburo national park

Canoeing on lake Bunyonyi: On day 15 of 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari, after breakfast, you will set out for a half day canoe ride to explore the beautiful island along this lake including the punishment island. You will be in position to learn more about the different islands found at lake of small birds, Lake Bunyonyi. Return to the lodge for lunch, check out and be transferred to Lake Mburo national park for dinner and overnight.

Day 16: Game drive Transfer to Kampala for departure

Departures: This is the last day of your 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari. After breakfast, you will be driven in the park to spot different species of mammals such as Impalas, zebras, and many more. after this brief breakfast, you will then be driven to the lakes where you will cruise on one of the lakes with in lake mburo national park and later on be returned to the lodge for late lunch, check out and embark on a journey to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photographs before proceeding your journey to Kampala. Once you arrive in Kampala, it will depend on your departures time that you will enjoy a brief Kampala city tour then proceed to the airport for departures and your 16 days Uganda Rwanda primates & wildlife safari will be done.
