This 14 Days Uganda Safari Tour  drives you through Uganda’s most visited destinations including Murchison falls national park for the mighty Murchison falls, Kibale national park for the Chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth national park for the tree climbing lions and Bwindi Impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking. Other interesting activities that can be enjoyed bird watching, boat cruises, Rhino tracking, Golden monkey trekking and Community tours. This program covers about 60% of Uganda’s tourist attractions.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Hotel

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our company representative/driver guide, whom you will meet and greet then drive you to your hotel in Kampala; it’s a less than an hour drive from Entebbe to Kampala depending on where your hotel is located. Dinner will be provided and overnight stay at Fairway Hotel for mid-range/Forest Cottages for budget/Sheraton Hotel for Luxury accommodation

Day 2: Rhino trekking – Murchison falls national park

To have enough time to do the activities and rest in time, you will start the day quite early with breakfast then depart to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking which takes about 2 hours then have your delicious lunch before you embark on your journey to Murchison falls national park. It’s a 2-3 hours’ drive from Kampala before you connect to Murchison falls national park for another 2-3 hours’ drive with en-route lunch.

After trekking, connect to drive to Murchison falls national park, entering through Kichumbanyobo gate and proceed to visit the top of the falls before you proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Heritage Safari lodge for budget/Fort Murchison Lodge for mid-range/Bakers Lodge for Luxury option

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Early morning breakfast, connect for an exciting morning game drive where you will view various animal species found in the park like the elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda Kobs among others.

In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight stay at either lodge as above

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After having breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Kibale forest national park. It’s a quite a long drive with views of the country side and towns where you will have lunch en-route. Upon arrival in Fort portal town late afternoon, do short tour around the town before you proceed to your lodge close to Kibale forest national park.  Dinner and overnight stay at Isunga lodge for budget/Chimpanzee forest guest house for mid-range/Kyaninga lodge for luxury

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking experience – Kibale forest

After your breakfast, you will go for briefing at the park headquarters with your trekking gears before you enter the forest for Chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is the best safari destinations in East Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale national park is 795km2 and contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole country. It has a number of forest wildlife, most particularly 13 species of primate including the chimpanzees. Chimpanzee trekking takes about 2-5 hours depending on the location of the endangered chimpanzees. The trek is not difficult and can be done by anyone. On finding the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them before you return to meet your driver-guide.

7 Days Bwindi, Queen & Kibale Safari

You will be served lunch at the lodge then relax abit before you drive for a nature walk experience in Bigodi swamp for a birding watching activity and sights other primates that will not be found in the Kibale forest. Later evening, return to your lodge for relaxation, wait for dinner and sleep over at lodge as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Semuliki National Park – Hot springs visit and night game drive

You will wake up early in the morning and transfer to Semuliki National Park which is 2-3 hours’ drive from Fort Port town. Reach the Park headquarters where you will register and to visit the Hot springs of Sempaya. After visiting the hot springs, connect for lunch at your already checked in lodge. Later afternoon, you will relax at your lodge with great views of the forest.

Have dinner before you go for a night game drive and search for nocturnal and wildlife species such as the slender mongoose, several cats, white tailed mongoose and diminutive genet. Semuliki National Park is one of the Parks in Uganda where you can enjoy a night game drive. Return to your lodge late night for an overnight stay at Ntoroko Safari lodge/Semiliki Safari lodge

Day 7; Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park –evening game drive

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with an en-route visit of the Amabere caves and Crater lakes. Have lunch in Kasese town then proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for 3-4 hours’ drive. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth national park for exploration crater lakes visit and an evening game drive before you proceed to your lodge for check-in. Dinner and overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages (budget)/Parkview Safari Lodge (midrange)/Kyambura Gorge lodge (Luxury)

Day 8: Morning game drive and Kazinga boat cruise

Enjoy morning breakfast, then go for early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector where you will spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards on a lucky day among others.

Return to the lodge for lunch then connect for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds. Dinner and overnight at lodge as above

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park – Kisoro area

After having your morning breakfast, continue on your safari to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Depending on your confirmed gorilla trekking sector, it may take about 4 to 7 hours to reach the respective sector. On arrival, check-in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget/Buhoma Haven lodge for mid-range/Buhoma lodge for luxury

Day 10: Gorilla trekking – Bwindi

After an early morning breakfast, set off to the park headquarters by 7 am for a briefing about the gorillas and allocation of gorilla families to trek. Later connect to your starting point to start the trek which may take 2-8 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. On finding them, a maximum of 1 hour will be given to spend with the gorillas.

After trekking, proceed to Kisoro closer to Mgahinga national park. Dinner and overnight stay at Traveler’s rest hotel (budget)/Lake Mulehe Safari lodge for mid-range/Gahinga lodge for luxury

Day 11: Golden monkeys tracking – Mgahinga National Park & Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will start trekking at 8 am after briefing about the Golden monkeys. This activity taking about 2-5 hours tracking and on finding them, spend an hour with them before you return to meet your safari driver.

Have lunch before you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district taking 2-3 hours to reach your lodge. A boat trip on the Lake Bunyonyi will do you good visiting the various islands and interacting with the locals. Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

You will enjoy your morning breakfast and if you missed the boat, do the canoe then transfer to Lake Mburo national park with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and also visit Igongo cultural center and learn about the Ankole culture. Arrive in the evening at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Eagle’s Nest Lodge (budget) Mpogo lodge (Mid-range)/Mihingo lodge for luxury

Attractions in Murchison Falls National Park

Day 13: Walking safari and afternoon boat

You will go for a walking safari in the morning where you will view animals on foot other than while driving. Lake Mburo national park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra, buffaloes and giraffes also graze these areas. Return to the lodge for lunch, and then do a boat cruise in the afternoon where you will see hippos and different bird species. Return to lodge as above

Day 14: Transfer to Entebbe/Departure

You will have breakfast then drive out of the park to connect to drive back to Kampala with en route lunch and visit of the Equator. Proceed to Entebbe and depending on your flight, you will either be dropped at your own booked hotel or proceed to the airport for your onward flight back home. End of tour
