Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival: Upon arrival in at Entebbe international airport on day 1 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, you will be met by a Uganda safari driver who will brief you about this 2 weeks adventure in the pearl of Africa as you drive to your reserved hotel in Kampala for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park 

Transfer to Murchison falls national park: On day 2 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, check out of the lodge and embark on a drive to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa white rhino sanctuary where you will trek endangered white rhinos in their natural habitats. This trek takes about 2-3 hours after which you will exit the forest and be driven to Masindi for an enroute lunch. After lunch, your journey proceed with your journey to Murchison falls national park where you will arrive late in the evening for hotel check in, dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise 

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: After breakfast on day 3 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, meet your safari driver for an early morning game drive conducted in the northern part of the park where you will spot several wildlife species including mammals such as elephants, antelopes, lions, hartebeest, hyenas, cape buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, uganda kob, waterbucks, Hippos and many more. Return to the lodge in time for lunch after which you will embark on an afternoon boat cruise to view the world’s most powerful waterfall. You will as well be able to view lots of wildlife including Hippos, Crocodiles among others. Return to the lodge with an enroute evening game drive. There is an optional activity of hiking top of falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Transfer to Kibale forest national park: After breakfast on day 4 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, check out of the lodge early in the morning and meet your driver to embark on a drive from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest national park with an enroute lunch. Upon arrival at the park, check in your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk 

Chimpanzee trekking and bigodi nature walk: On day 5 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, pack some snacks and enough drinking water and be transferred to Kanyanchu for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking after which the walk into the forest starts as you search for the habituated troops of chimpanzees that thrill with in Kibale forest. Being a home to 13 primate species and other mammals, be sure to spot plenty of them whole searching for the chimpanzees. Upon finding chimpanzees, you will spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and interacting closely. Exit the forest and return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening for a guided nature walk in bigodi wetland where birders have a golden opportunity of spotting the rare shoebill stork. Bigodi wetland is yet a best destination for botanical lovers where you will be able to identify several plant species.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park: After breakfast on day 6 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver to embark on a 3-4 hours’ drive from Kibale forest national park to Queen Elizabeth national park with a stopover at the Crater lakes to view the stunning vegetation cover that thrill along the shores of the lake. After visiting the crater proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park a home to several attractions including mammals, birds, and the Kazinga channel which connect Lake Edward to Lake George.

Day 7: Game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park

Game drive and boat cruise: After breakfast on day 7 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, meet your safari driver and embark on an early morning game drive to search for different wildlife that thrill in the park. You will spot mammals like elephants, Hippos, waterbucks, buffaloes, Uganda kob and lions though some travelers usually miss out on seeing the lions thus the best way to closely have a look at the Lions in queen is by taking a lion tracking experience. After game drive, return to the lodge for lunch after which you will head out for an afternoon boat cruise along the kazinga channel to look at a huge population of Hippos, crocodiles and other animals that visit the shores in search of water during hot sunny afternoon. Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park: After breakfast on day 8 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, check out of the lodge with packed lunch and meet your safari driver to enjoy a morning game drive in Ishasha sector where you will be able to have a glance at tree climbing lions that only exist in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. The other bunch of tree climbing lions is found in Lake Manyara national park in Tanzania. After game drive, enjoy your picnic lunch then check out of the lodge and embark on a drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park situated in south western part of Uganda the pearl of Africa. Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

Gorilla trekking: On day 9 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, have a heavy breakfast then be driven to transferred for a briefing by rangers before setting off for this dream come true experience in the impenetrable forest. After briefing, you will led into the forest to spend 2-8 hours trekking the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Spend only one hour in their presence taking photographs and later on exit the forest back to your lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 10: Transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park for Batwa trail and drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Batwa trail and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: After breakfast on day 10 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, check out of the lodge and be driven to Mgahinga gorilla national park a home to only Nyakagezi Gorilla family. Upon arrival, you will be transferred for a batwa trail in the forest where you will walk through well designated trails with the local batwa people as you elaborate about their life style and show casing how they used to do hunting and gathering for survival. After this trail, drive to Lake Bunyonyi with an enroute lunch and connect to your lodge for check in, have an evening canoe ride, dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Transfer to Lake Mburo national park: On day 11 of 13 days Uganda safari tour, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the shores of Lake Bunyonyi overlooking the rolling Kigezi hills and terraces. Have a walking adventure spotting several birds since the lake is known as a home to several little birds as well as encountering the locals in their farms along the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. After this adventure, have your early lunch, checkout of the lodge and be driven to Lake Mburo national park where you will arrive in the evening, proceed to check in your lodge with an enroute evening game drive.

Day 12: Walking safari, game drive and boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park.

Full day adventure in Lake Mburo national park: After breakfast on day 12 of 13 days Uganda safari tour head out for an early morning walking safari in the park. Lake Mburo national park offers the best walking safari in Uganda and its way similar to game drive since the sighting are almost the same only that there are some parts of the park that are easily explored on foot than on a vehicle. After the walk, you will return to your lodge for a brief game drive then have your lunch. 

Later in the afternoon, go for an afternoon boat cruise along one of the lake in Lake Mburo national park where you will spot aquatic wildlife and other mammals that visit the lake to quench their thirst. After boat cruise, enjoy an enroute evening game drive as you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 13: Game drive and transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe for departures 

Transfer to Kampala / Entebbe for departures: After breakfast on day 13 of 13 days Uganda safari tour which is the last day of this adventurous Uganda safari, check out of the lodge and begin the journey to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator in Biharwe where you will take several photographs as well as enjoy an equator experiments. Lunch will be enroute and upon arrival in Kampala, your driver will drop you off at your respective hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
