This 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari is an amazing safari that starts from Tanzania and ends in Kigali Rwanda. The safari will take you to different national parks in Tanzania including Tarangire national park, Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro conservation area where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, warthogs, elands, gazelle, giraffes, wildebeests, cheetahs, dik dik, lions, leopards among others during the game drives.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Tarangire national park-game drive
Depending on your location on day 1 of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to Tarangire national park which is located in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is famously known for harboring ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants. On the way, you will enjoy great views and upon arrival, you will have lunch and then go for an afternoon game drive where you will be able to view different animals like buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions, hippos, zebras, rhinos, impalas, gazelle, waterbucks among others. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti national park en-route game drive
On the second day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge, check out with your packed lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Serengeti national park. On the way you will have amazing vies of the highland, landscape, wildlife and a picnic lunch. Upon arrival, you will have a game drive as you proceed to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3&4: Full day game drives in Central Serengeti national park, Hot air balloon
On the third and fourth day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast and then transfer to Central Serengeti for a full day game drive where you will be able to spot animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gazelle, jackals, hippos, elands, topi, wildebeest, view different bird species among others. You will also have a picnic lunch in the park and later continue with the game drive where after you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast on the fifth day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge with your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. On the way, you will have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge where you will learn about the Historical finding of Dr Louis and Mary Leaky and also fossils and artefacts of some of the earliest human ancestors. You will later proceed to the conservation area for a game drive or guided walking safari on the crater rim where you will view animals like giraffes, zebras at a close range, listen to sweet sounds of bird species singing in trees among others. After the walking safari, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Ngorongoro crater drive, Maasai Bomas visit
After an early breakfast on the sixth day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a drive in the Ngorongoro crater where you will descent 600 meters into the crater for a game drive. During the game drive, you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, dik dik, leopards, lions, hyenas among others. You will also be able to view different bird species like flamingos, pelicans, ducks among others.
After the crater drive, you will go for an interesting Maasai Bomas where you will be able to interact with the local people, learn about their tradition, culture, lifestyle, way of living, listen to their ancient stories, enjoy their traditional entertainment among others. After the cultural tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Arusha for your flight to Kigali international airport
On the seventh day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Arusha with views of wildlife on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at the Kilimanjaro airport for your departure flight to Kigali international airport. Upon arrival at Entebbe, our driver guide will pick you up to transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
On the eighth day of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to go for a short city tour where you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial Centre, art centers, Kimironko market among others. After the city tour, you will have lunch and later transfer to Volcanoes national park and upon arrival, you will connect to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes national park

After an early breakfast on day 9 of the 10 days luxury Rwanda gorillas and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations. After the briefing you will be divided in groups of 8 people where each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and an experienced park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where they are located and once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviours, habits, take photos, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos and record videos to show people back home.
After a breath-taking encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your guide and then meet up with your guide to return to the lodge for an evening relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Golden monkey trekking and departure to Kigali
On the last day of the Rwanda safari and Tanzania wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for golden monkey trekking. After the briefing, you will start trekking in the forest with an experience park guide which takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the golden monkeys are located. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which helps you to learn about their behaviours, watch them feed, play, jump up in tree branches, take photos and record videos.
After the one hour with the golden monkeys, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kigali with en-route lunch on the way. Upon arrival in Kigali, your driver guide will drop you off at Kigali International airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise.
