There are very many forest reserves in Uganda. Apparently, the biggest is Mabira Forest which is also the most visit forest reserve among the rest followed by Kalinzu forest. Among the other forest reserves are Lutoboka, and Bunjazi Central Forest Reserves, Kalinzu, Kasyoha-kitomi, Budongo, Kaniyo, Busingiro, Bugoma and Mpanga Central Forest Reserve plus more. All these forests are natural and not man made. Various eco-tourism activities like wild camping, wildlife viewing are carried out in them apparently.
These forest reserves in Uganda also harbor wildlife especially Budongo which is so far one of the best places for wildlife safaris and Chimpanzee trekking tours in Uganda. Mpanga and Kalinzu are also common except for the others that exist but are less visited by tourists. However, over the years, the National Forestry Authority has been putting in endless efforts to market these eco-tourism sites in Uganda / forest reserves in Uganda and promote them the more so that they boost revenue in the Uganda tourism industry.
