The 8 Days Uganda Gorilla and Masai Mara Safari offers fabulous wildlife and primate viewing, such as Mountain gorillas and wild animal viewing, such as leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes. Fact: Uganda is gifted with half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. In Uganda Mountain gorillas can be seen in two places: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Masai Mara National Reserve stands as the seventh wonder of the world and the fourth most visited national park in the world. The park is also a great location to go for the Great Annual Wildebeest Migration Event, which usually occurs from the month of July to October.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park—Visit the Bigodi Swamp and Crater Lakes
Depending on your point of location, our expert driver guide will welcome you and transfer you to Kibale National Park, passing through beautiful countryside and beautiful landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch in Fort portal town. After lunch, proceed to drive to the park.
Arriving late afternoon, relax or go visit the Bigodi swamp and crater. After, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge before embarking on chimpanzee tracking for a briefing about dos and don’ts. After the briefing, you will go meet the park ranger to lead you through forest trails in search of a chimpanzee family.
Once you find them, you will be given an hour to spend with them, observing their behaviors, habits, feed, play and enjoy taking impressive photo shoot. After an encounter with chimpanzees, hike back to meet your driver guide to transfer you to Bwindi National Park. Arriving in the late evening, check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi—Visit the Batwa Pygmies
You will have an early breakfast at the hotel, and then after you will embark on a park headquarters tour and get a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will hike into a canopy forest trail in search of a gorilla group with the help of a park ranger. On finding them, you will be allowed an hour to observe our closest cousins in their natural environment. When finding them, you will be given one hour to spend with them, learning about their behavior and habits and capturing videos. After, return to the lodge to relax with an option to visit the Batwa pygmies’ community. Dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala—Visit Igongo cultural Centre, Equator crossing /Kampala City Tour in the evening
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departing back to Kampala. Along the way, you will have a stop for a picnic lunch, visit the Igongo culture Centre and visit the equator in Kayabwe along Masaka Road. Proceed to Kampala and if time allows, you will go for an evening City tour where you can visit several attractions like the Bahai Temple, the Uganda museum, the Kasubi tombs and the Namugongo shrine, among others. Dinner and an overnight.
Day 5: Whitewater rafting in Jinja—Visiting the Source of the Nile—Transfer to Nairobi
After morning breakfast at the hotel, set off on the journey to Jinja to adventure the Source of the Nile with lots of activities to engage in, like bungee jumping, sport fishing, whitewater rafting and horseback riding around the Nile. Have dinner and an overnight.
Day 6: Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve – Afternoon Game drive
After morning breakfast, drive to Masai Mara, one of the world’s prime safari destinations. Arriving at the park, check into the lodge and have lunch.
Later, embark on an evening game drive, which will end at sunset, and then return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full Days—Balloon tours, Game drives and exploring the Masai Mara National Game reserve
Wake up and drive to the park for the balloon experience. During your hot air balloon ride, you will enjoy aerial views of large herds of elephants, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and zebras, among others. Enjoy a yummy bush breakfast in the jungle. After going for a game drive around the Mara River, giving you a great view of hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Visit the Masai Village—Transfer back to Nairobi
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge before visiting the Masai Village, where you will learn about their cultural heritage. After, you will depart back to Nairobi to be dropped at the Airport for your flight departure. End of the safari.
