5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Kenya Masai Mara Safari: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up at Nairobi Airport and Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve’’5 to6hrs’’
On day 1 of the 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Kenya Masai Mara Safari, upon arrival at Nairobi Airport, our driver guide will welcome you and then drive you to the nearby hotel to refresh and brief you about the 5 days’ safari.
Therefore, you will transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey goes through the beautiful scenery of the East African Rift Valley. Arrive at the eastern entrance of the park for a secure check and continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Viewing and Evening Cultural Tour
On the 2nd day of the 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Kenya Masai Mara Safari, you will have an early delicious breakfast, and embark on a game viewing through Masai Mara plains in search of the big five mammals like lions, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, and rhinos, and many other wild species. You will have a lunch break around Mara River.
While at Mara River, you will have the possibility of witnessing the wildebeest migration, crocodiles, and hippos but time defers.
Around the afternoon, you will drive back to the lodge, rest, and later in the evening –go visit the Masai village referred to as cattle warriors. You will visit their homestead, get to witness their daily life, listen to their stories, support them through buying their craft items, and more so enjoy their traditional performance. Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Nairobi Kenya, Fly to Kigali Airport, and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On the 3rd day of the 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Kenya Masai Mara Safari, after morning breakfast well served at the lodge or hotel, you will depart to Nairobi Airport from where you will board a charter plane and fly to Kigali International Airport.
After a 2-hour flight, you will be welcomed by our safari guide to transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, North of Rwanda. It takes a 2-hour drive from Kigali to access Volcanoes. Arrive in the evening at your lodge, check in have dinner, and spend a night.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes Rwanda and Cultural Encounter
On the 4th day of the 5 Days Rwanda Gorilla & Kenya Masai Mara Safari, you will wake up early to prepare for your busy and memorable day, starting with breakfast well served with packed snacks. Your driver guide will pick you up earlier at 7:30 am and drive you to the Kinigi visitors center by 8:00 am for a briefing about gorilla rules.
After the briefing, you will start tracking through forest trails with the help of park rangers in search of the assigned gorilla family. Well, you shouldn’t get shared, chances of seeing gorillas are high ‘’100% guaranteed.
When you find them, you will be allowed 1 hour with them taking photos and learning from them. After trekking gorillas, you will return to your lodge and rest or have lunch. Then in the evening, go visit the Iby’lwacu cultural village to learn about Rwanda’s traditional ways of living. Also, to have a chance to know how the ancient people of Rwanda lived before modernization led their lives. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Drive back to Kigali and Departure
After breakfast, you will travel back to Kigali. If time allows, you will have a tour of the Kigali genocide memorial and a visit to the local market to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables before your flight departure. End of the safari.
