This 11 Days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania Safari is an exciting safari that starts in Tanzania and ends in Uganda. The safari will take you to different national parks in Tanzania including Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro conservation area where you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards, warthogs, elands, gazelle, giraffes, wildebeests, cheetahs, dik dik, lions, leopards among others during the game drives. The 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari will also take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is known for harbouring the endangered mountain gorillas that will be viewed during the gorilla trekking experience.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Arusha
Depending on your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport on day 1 of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer you to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire national park-game drive
After breakfast on day 2 of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Tarangire National Park which is located in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is famously known for harbouring ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants. On the way, you will enjoy great views and upon arrival, you will have lunch and then go for an afternoon game drive where you will be able to view different animals like buffaloes, elephants, leopards, lions, hippos, zebras, rhinos, impalas, gazelle, waterbucks among others. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti national park en-route game drive
On the third day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge, check out with your packed lunch box, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Serengeti National Park. On the way you will have amazing views of the highland, landscape, wildlife, and a picnic lunch. Upon arrival, you will have a game drive as you proceed to your lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 4&5: Full day game drives in Central Serengeti National Park, Hot air balloon
On the fourth and fifth day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will have an early breakfast and then transfer to Central Serengeti for a full-day game drive where you will be able to spot animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gazelle, jackals, hippos, elands, topi, wildebeest, view different bird species among others. You will also have a picnic lunch in the park and later continue with the game drive where after you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area
After breakfast on the sixth day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will check out of the lodge with your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Ngorongoro conservation area. On the way, you will have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge where you will learn about the Historical findings of Dr. Louis and Mary Leaky and also fossils and artifacts of some of the earliest human ancestors. You will later proceed to the conservation area for a game drive or guided walking safari on the crater rim where you will view animals like giraffes, and zebras at a close range, and listen to sweet sounds of bird species singing in trees among others. After the walking safari, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro crater drive, Maasai Bomas visit
After an early breakfast on the seventh day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a drive in the Ngorongoro crater where you will descent 600 meters into the crater for a game drive. During the game drive, you will be able to spot animals like buffaloes, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, dik dik, leopards, lions, and hyenas among others. You will also be able to view different bird species like flamingos, pelicans, ducks among others.
After the crater drive, you will go for an interesting Maasai Bomas where you will be able to interact with the local people, learn about their tradition, culture, lifestyle, and way of living, listen to their ancient stories, and enjoy their traditional entertainment among others. After the cultural tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Departure to Arusha for your flight to Entebbe International Airport
On the eighth day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Arusha with views of wildlife on the way. Upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at the Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight to Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival at Entebbe, our driver guide will pick you up to transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast on day 9 of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide to start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On the way you will have a stopover at the Equator where you will buy souvenirs, take photos and then proceed with another stopover for en-route lunch. After lunch, you will continue the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park with stunning views on the way and upon arrival you will check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi National Park
Gorilla trekking,
After an early breakfast on day 10 of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will carry your lunch box and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations. After the briefing you will be divided in groups of 8 people where each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and an experienced park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where they are located and once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviours, habits, take photos, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos and record videos to show people back home.
After a breath-taking encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and then meet up with your guide and then meet up with your guide to return to the lodge for an evening relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Transfer to Kampala/ Entebbe
On the last day of the 11 days Uganda gorillas and Tanzania safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way, you will have en-route lunch and then proceed to Kampala arriving early in the evening and upon arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at any place of advice.
