Day 1: Transfer to Samburu Game Reserve

Following your arrival, you will be picked from the Jomo Kenyatta airport or any agreed location in Nairobi and transfer to Samburu Game Reserve. The reserve offers unique vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. Samburu boasts a mixture of habitats including wood, grassland and swamps, harboring a variety of wildlife.

Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and enjoy your evening game drive where you will enjoy excellent game viewing including Grevy’s Zebra, elephant, oryx, Somali Ostrich, hippo, Reticulated Giraffe, crocodile, gerenuk, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Enjoy breakfast and go for a game drive exploring the vast Samburu with lots of game viewing and excellent viewing. Game drives are unlimited and can last as long as you wish. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax before embarking on the evening game drive.

The morning and evening are the best times for a game drive because that is the time animals start to graze and predators set out to hunt or retire. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Ol Pajeta Conservancy

Breakfast will be served and transfer to Ol Pajeta a mosaic of grass plains, wooded grassland, Acacia woodland and evergreen thicket extending for over 350 square kilometers. The conservancy is home to a variety of wildlife including non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Serena Sweetwaters Tented Camp.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Have breakfast and transfer to Lake Nakuru with lunch en-route at Nyahururu, arriving Nakuru on the afternoon. Covering 180 sq km, Lake Nakuru Park is home to a variety of wildlife including buffaloes, waterbuck, warthogs, reed bucks, and the occasional leopard.

Both black and white rhinos were introduced to the park a few years ago and you may find white rhino at the southern end. It goes without saying that Nakuru is an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast and depart Nakuru for Masai Mara with lunch en-route in Narok town and proceed to Maasai Mara arriving in the afternoon with en-route game viewing. Masai Mara is the most visited of all Kenya’s reserves and offers breathtaking views with an extraordinary density of animals including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Leisure Camp

Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara

Wake up to an early morning breakfast and go for a game drive in the Masai Mara national reserve where you will come up close with a variety of game and birds in great numbers. Alternatively, you can enjoy a Hot Air Balloon ride which must be pre-arranged at a cost of USD. 450 Per person

Explore the Masai Mara and go as far as the vehicle can get! Have lunch and enjoy the evening game dive as well. Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Camp as above.

Day 7: Back to Nairobi and Departure

Enjoy breakfast and depart Mara for Nairobi; depending on your flight, a boat cruise can be arranged in Naivasha and proceed with your journey to Nairobi arriving late afternoon. Drop off at Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
